We found this restaurant on our way to the coast. We were disappointed with the Dan Dan noodles. It was so small and seemed like a side dish rather than main dish. It was nothing special. Egg Fried rice was good. Shumai was good, but not as good as from dim sum house. The pepper salt chicken was the best thing we ordered, but definitely needed some sort of dipping sauce. It was plain. We were eating family style and asked for plates. The plates our waitress brought out were only 6 inches in diameter. We needed at least 10 in. Finally, there was only one other table there. Our waitress brought their chicken dish out to our table. We thought it was different than we expected, but since it was our first time there, we were not sure. My husband had a piece of the chicken one his plate and I was serving up my piece when the waitress came to our table and said we had the wrong dish. She had my husband put the chicken back on the plate and she took it back to the kitchen and immediately brought it back to the other table. This was wrong in so many ways!! If I was the other table, I would have refused the dish. There are so many other places better than this. I would recommend Koku instead of Yummy time.

Absolutely loved this spot! The crispy Szechuan chicken was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of heat and breading, and the xiao long bao were incredibly fresh and flavorful. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. Friendly, attentive service made the whole experience even better, definitely will come back!

I went there twice and I love their dishes. The dishes are authentic, delicious, not the typical deep-fried oily Szechuan dishes you get, and the menu has a great variety. Both times, the service was excellent. I highly recommend! Plan ahead if you’re coming during rush hour and the weekends.

I’ve visited Yummy Time Restaurant a couple of times, and I’m thoroughly impressed! The food is consistently flavorful, and the portions are generous. Each dish bursts with exceptional taste, reflecting the care and skill behind it.
The highlight for me was meeting the chef-owner, Sam, and his mother, who craft the most amazing handmade Xiao Long Bao dumplings. Honestly, these might be some of the best I’ve ever tasted in Oregon! As a culinary educator, I was also very impressed with the sanitation and cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
Now, this place is becoming our regular family hangout. If you are a lover of authentic, comforting, and ethnic cuisine, this is the place for you. Highly recommended—happy eating!

I love eating here. The food has consistently been good quality and flavorful. Even when I am rushed getting a BBQ bun can be a full meal and is really nice to take an extra home for lunch next day. They said they are adding a new dumpling as well soon and I can’t wait and hope they add even more options to their menu. Only caution is to be careful of peak times!! The tables inside fill up fast especially with how many times I have seen large families coming for dinner on the weekends!

Hey hey my foodies, Today the hubs and zi visited this little place in the vicinity of Cornell and 43rd, in Hillsboro. The customer service was excellent. The chef was very nice and accommodate the hubs request to put the sauce on the side for his dish. My dish was pretty tasty, not overwhelming with flavor but just right!
Thank you Yummy Time!

I recently picked up the vegetable noodles from this restaurant for the first time, and unfortunately, it was a big letdown. The noodles were drenched in sauce and oil, making them overly greasy and heavy. Even worse, the menu clearly stated vegetable noodles, but there were hardly any vegetables — just a few onions. No tofu, no greens, nothing remotely close to what you’d expect for a dish labeled “vegetable noodles.”
Paying $11 for something that probably costs a dollar to make (like the noodles you’d find at Walmart) feels like a clear case of maximizing profit over quality. It’s disappointing to see such a money-making approach, especially when customers are willing to pay a fair price for genuine quality and ingredients.
My recommendation to the owner:
If you’re charging $8–$11 for noodle dishes, please include tofu (at no extra charge) and at least some real vegetables — broccoli, bell peppers, carrots, or snow peas. It would go a long way toward justifying the price and building trust with your customers.
Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend this place to family or friends based on this experience.

I do not ever post bad reviews about restaurants, because I know how difficult it is nowadays keeping doors open at a small business. My family has owned a restaurant in the area for over 25 years now. I myself have worked first hand in the service industry, the food at yummy time has always been delicious, my family and I have gone here about 4 times in total (usually 7-8 of us) and there has been a female worker who has been exceptional and even gave us a fresh crab entree on the house when it was our first time there (we had ordered a lot of food so I assume it was a sort of gift). She is not the problem here, the kitchen staff are also very quick and polite and wave when we walk in. The last time we ate there, my uncle paid in cash at the register as he normally would. The worker who we see usually was not there this night and we were served by another male worker who was very friendly and polite during our whole meal, when it was time to pay my uncle took his change back to the table with him to put more cash out for the waiter’s tip. Not knowing this the waiter disgustingly asked us if we had a problem, and why didn’t we leave him a tip. We then said that we were gonna add more to it because it was only 2 dollars in change. Our bill was 148~ and my uncle gave 150. He then asked why didn’t my uncle give him his tip right there at the register instead of taking it back to the table, I was just appalled, I never have heard a waiter be this rude over 2 dollars.
Overall the food is DELICIOUS. But the service could be improved, even for a Chinese restaurant. (I am Vietnamese-Chinese American born)

I stumbled upon Yummy Time when I was in the area and I could not be happier that I did. I received a warm greeting upon arrival to a clean and warm space. It smelled amazing inside! We were offered water or tea upon sitting down. The tea was hot and fresh and they provided a water pitcher with our glasses so it was easy to refill. We ended up ordering shrimp fried rice, xiao long bao, sweet and sour chicken, popcorn chicken and pan fried pork buns. All of it was hot, fresh and DELICIOUS. I loved eating family style with my group and the price?! Phenomenal. Would come back and eat here again, and probably will very soon!

Dan Dan noodles is very disappointing. The menu mentions mined pork but there’s none in this dish. Taste like noodles and some peanut butter. The mapu tofu and dumplings are fine but nothing special.
