This is a pretty descent spot. Food is good, my wife loved the grilled chicken and veggies…They have a few choices on the menu. The slices of cheesecake could be a little bigger for the price. Great customer service and the food came out quickly.

I ordered the shrimp poboy and it was delicious. This was my first time visiting and the staff was very friendly. I had made a to go order and I was able to pay online so the process was quick and painless. The establishment was clean and it seemed to have a great atmosphere. I will be coming back soon. My only wish for when I come back would be for them to have more beer on tap and if at all possible for it to be craft beer. See yall soon!

Top 5 places in ascension parish. Great drinks great food awesome atmosphere and the prices are straight out of the 90’s. Fed 3 people and adult drinks for 60 bucks. Can’t wait to come back.

The catfish platter was excellent and seasoned perfectly, best fries I’ve had in a long time. Sweet tea was even good and needed no doctoring. Service was really fast and staff was super friendly. I’ve been several times, and it seems to get a little better each time. Check it out if in the Prairieville area.

Update:: 5/16/2025 Every time we come here we try something new and today did NOT disappoint! Unfortunately I did not get a photo of the Blackenzola burger with added tangy horseradish but I believe the 2nd photo speaks for itself!

Our first time here and dang it was good! Definitely give them a try if you are in the area

If you haven’t had the pleasure of eating at Hot Tails yet, definitely add it to your to do list. “Christian H” who was our waiter/bartender was really amazing and made the experience that much better. Really cool place for everyone to enjoy.

This place seems to focus more on the bar experience so this review is based on that service. Our bartender was attentive and recommended some food for my boyfriend and I to try. I ordered the Shotgun shrimp wrap with fries. My drink was a Mojito. Very refreshing and mixed well. I am picky with mint flavor drinks because mint can be overpowering. Food tasted great. I love the sauce!

It is a great place for the bar experience but falls short in the dining area.

Glad to see a new impressive restaurant on the Prairieville strip.

Let me start with the least preferred which was the crawfish bread. The bread was some plain loaf with no wow factor. The crawfish tail batter was not crisp or flaky. The spinach dip was standard fare.

On to the good stuff. The shotgun shrimp. Their play on bang bang shrimp and wow it was good. Piping hot and a down the middle flavor profile that had everyone at the table raving.

Next was the crawfish croquettes. These fresh, properly crusted, and served piping hot pockets of crawfish (and corn?) had just the right amount of red pepper (heat) and when dipped into the pepper jelly (hot and sweet sauce) this place got put on our radar for future visits.

Wait until you see the burger review.

The double deuce burger was a double meat patty with a smash burger like crisp, and that sauce (similar to Big Mac sauce in my opinion) was a solid combo worthy of a repeat trip. The burger was also dressed with cheddar jack cheese lettuce tomato onion and pickle. I don’t think deuce or moist are good words for food but it is what it is.

The second burger was the Oyster Rockefeller burger. Here is where the oyster dip took on a second personality. It was better on this burger than with the bread appetizer because it made the burger a handful, and gave the burger notes of richness. The crispness of the fried oyster (which I wanted more of) and the combined bite (with the spin dip and meat patty) made this an A+ bite!! The kicker was that I ordered this burger medium and it was cooked perfect medium!!! Look at the picture!! Was this luck? I know some are cringing with medium cooked meat, but this is quality stuff, so I went there.

These 2 burgers are enough for this place to be on a burger radar for everyone. The sauce might be a mother sauce for several dishes but that is fine by me.

I had a bite of the shrimp remoulade wrap which was very good.

We will be back for sure!
