Brix is our go-to wine bar locale in Sioux Falls with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, offering service that is thoughtful, friendly and knowledgeable! Hank has curated a diverse, unpretentious wine list at fair prices and frequently has off menu wines hiding behind the bar to surprise and delight. We love that we can order from the Maribella dinner menu while we’re here and appreciate Hank’s educated pairing recommendations. Indoor & outdoor seating in spring/summer/fall with ample parking and close proximity to the Pavillion when you’ve got a show to catch.
Highly recommend!

This wine bar has quickly become my go-to spot, and for good reason. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between cozy and sophisticated, making it great for a quiet evening with friends or a relaxing solo night. Their wine selection is thoughtfully curated, featuring both local favorites and unique finds you won’t see everywhere else. The staff is knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely passionate about wine, always ready to recommend something new based on your taste.
The small plates and pairings are just as impressive as the drinks, clearly crafted to complement their wine list. Whether you’re a casual wine drinker or a dedicated enthusiast, this place delivers an experience that feels both welcoming and elevated. Every visit feels special, and I can’t recommend it enough.

We sat outside on the patio and even though it was 85 degrees it was so shady and comfortable. I ordered the pizza and it couldn’t have been more delicious. Hank, the manager is so polite and welcoming! He chatted with us and we really enjoyed his professiona, but sweet personality.

Our first stop was Brix Wine Bar. The bartending staff went out of their way to make sure our group had four chairs together at the bar. I joked with Marybeth about being in the staff’s way, and she played right along, creating some great banter. Riccardo noticed I was wearing a work jacket, took the time to shake my hand, and made a point to learn my name. It also happened to be my birthday that Friday, which made the experience even more special. The staff was amazing—hardworking, professional, and genuinely having fun.

First time having branzino, and it was a very well cooked bright and aromatic dish. The lamb was even better. Their homemade pesto is very delicious. The bar was fine for a dining experience. Although it was empty then got very full and loud. Over all I’d go to the jazz club over any three of their other locations.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. My friends and I were going to a show at the Pavilion, so we got here at about 5:45 – plenty of time before our 7:30 show. The place wasn’t full at all, but we sat at the bar. The bartender walked past us I don’t know how many times before we could put in our wine order, and I don’t know how many more times again before we could order our food. We ended up getting our food at 7:15 – and it was obvious it had been sitting under a heat lamp. The sauce on mine was coagulated, and my friend’s arancini was lukewarm at best. I wish I would’ve had time to send mine back, but I was starving needed something (anything) before the show. My friend and I split a bottle of wine, so my meal was $60+ after tip. It was a ridiculous amount for a terrible experience; I won’t be going back.

Overall a little disappointed. Our server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable however our pizza ($17 for an average size small) was more than crispy. I was surprised that this amount of burnt was served when it had multiple rounds of eyes on it before it reached our table. Overall we had the small pizza, charcuterie, and 3 glasses of wine and spent $80 + tip. This was our first time and Brix and we have had Maribella’s food one other time and had a similarly average experience. We will likely return but maybe just for wine.

Great place to try a wide range of phenomenal wines. Complete with anything from appetizers to main courses to desserts from the accompanying Italian restaurant. Personalized service and pairings, as well. Not inexpensive, but a great time.

We had the best time at Brix! Hank was so knowledgeable about the wines and does a wonderful job of creating a welcoming atmosphere—whether you are a new or experienced wine drinker! Came for the wine, stayed for the conversation. 🙂
