Past by this place near my apartment and I wanted to try, man this place did not disappoint! Amazing hidden gem. Food was 10/10. Bought sourdough bread, muffins and danish as well. I will not be going to grocery stores for my bread anymore, ONLY HERE! Everything was so fresh and yummy. Please do yourself a favor and check this place out!

10/9/25: Hadn’t been here in a while. I like the intimate feeling of the cafe. It was packed. We ordered the lemon chicken piccata and Croque Monsieur. Both were served fast. Both were delicious! Love this place!

09/22/25: A fellow Chamber Ambassador wanted a nice quiet lunch. We came here. The Pizza was amazing! I purchased some Breakfast loaf, and the La Spiga-Love continued! Excellent food!

Earlier review years ago: Hadn’t been here on a Saturday and it was very very long time. Her pleased as punched to know that they were open. We ordered the Croque Monsieur with a bowl of Mushroom soup. It was delivered in minutes and it was absolutely fantastic. My wife was elated. My favorite are the monstrous cookies!!!!

A bit cramped for large parties, pretty good place for smaller groups under 8. Delicious food and a lot of vegetarian options too … Extremely surprised with the many veggie options they had.

Flatbread veggie pizza and Alfredo veggie pasta are the favorites along with soups.

Wow I consider myself an expert in homemade lasagna…
The best I have ever had (ask for extra meat sauce on side)! Everything from the sauce, sourdough bread, Caesar, cream cake even the croutons are homemade. This place is amazing BRAVO. I will def be back!

Good bakery with a variety of baked goods, pastas and sandwiches.

Chicken, beef and tuna sandwiches were nice. The spicy penne pasta with chicken tasted authentic.

The cheese Danish tasted great.

Service was good and fast.

Amazing tiny cafe with delicious sandwiches. They have other Italian foods as well but I highly recommend their sandwiches. Their bread is made fresh and all of the varieties are quite flavorful.
They also sell bread that you can take home.

The best restaurant in all of DFW. I moved out of town recently but anytime I visit the area, I must stop here for lunch. I’ve been coming to La Spiga for the last 5 years and everytime the food is consistently amazing, with friendly and helpful staff. My favorite dishes are either the Lemon Chicken Picatta or Chicken Terragon sandwich on Sourdough. But I’ve tried almost everything and it’s all so good.

This is a quaint spot tucked away. The service is lovely. Most of the menu is available all day and the the order turnaround is relatively quick. They have full sized desserts you can’t take home as well as personal sizes. They seem to have lots of patrons they know by name. The bathrooms were clean, and the kitchen looked clean as well. I was surprised to see a roach in the dining area. It happens, just makes one nervous pertaining to food preparation.

Surprisingly high quality food, excellent service and wonderful presentation. A hidden gem of north dallas well worth the effort to visit. Fernanda was an exceptional host and really made us miss the service once more common pre-covid. The serving size was generous and the prices great. Lunch hour tends to be busy so plan accordingly. Irony is that the majority of its business is wholesale selling baked items to well establish local restaurants.

Highly recommend to everyone to give this a place a try – which I rarely do.

I finally got a chance to try this place after constantly driving past it (always drove past on Sundays) and it was amazing! I got the 9 grain bread, a peanut butter cookie, and tomato basil soup. The bread was fantastic, the cookie thickness and softness was incredible, and the soup had amazing flavor. I will definitely be back!!
