Lou Malnati’s is my favorite Chicago chain pizza. The thin crust pizza is so good. This location is great with quick and friendly service, however, it’s takeout and delivery only. Unfortunately, a family that arrived before we did not realize this, and had to go elsewhere for dinner.

Really disappointing experience. The crust was undercooked — pale, doughy, and gummy in the center instead of crispy. The slices were floppy and tasted almost raw. A good crust is the foundation of a pizza, and this one missed the mark. Hope they improve their bake time.

Whenever work brings me to Aurora, I make it a point to walk across the parking lot to Lou Malnati’s. It’s become a bit of a ritual. Fair warning—if you’re in a rush, this isn’t your grab-and-go kind of place. Each deep-dish is made to order, typically taking 30–40 minutes. But on this visit, I ordered ahead and everything was ready when I arrived. I walked in, picked up my pizza and drinks, and was back on my way in under a minute.
On the short walk back to the hotel, the smell of that warm, buttery crust and bubbling cheese taunted me the entire way. I went with Lou’s X Frank’s RedHot Buffalou—a brilliant mashup of classic Chicago deep-dish and buffalo chicken flavor. It was fantastic. I ordered a small, which comes with four hearty slices, but after just two I had to throw in the towel.
For what it’s worth, I’ve tried the personal size before, and it’s just not the same—the ratio of crust, cheese, and sauce feels off. Go for the small. Even if you’re solo, it’s worth it for the proper deep-dish experience. You’ll either find someone to share it with or have an excellent leftover meal the next day.
My only gripe—and it’s a small one—is that I wish they offered slices. Being right next to a hotel, it feels like a missed opportunity. Most business travelers aren’t going to commit to a whole pizza, no matter how good it is.
That said, the pizza is that good. Rich, flavorful, satisfying, and unmistakably Chicago. Lou Malnati’s continues to deliver the kind of quality that keeps me coming back, trip after trip.

This may be the best Lou’s location around! The team was happy, smiling and accommodating! The quality of the pizza was perfect! Not under cooked not over cooked, just right! I am already looking forward to my next deep dish

Used this location previously. Ordered, family boneless wings and deep dish chicago classis. Food was all as expected and delivered within an hour. Delivery guy, that has delivered previously, very nice and courteous that I think provides a good view into the company as they are really the only face you see when mobile ordering for delivery. Definitely should be recognized internally.

First time ever coming here! Food was good! Boneless wings were delish and that ranch is very good! I made it home and noticed I got bone in wings instead of boneless wings. I called and spoke to the manager Patricia and she was very nice not only did she make another order fresh but also made it convenient for me and had the corrected order delivered but also refunded me. Now that is a great manager!
