The resturant was very clean and staff was very kind. The patio was also very beautiful and inviting!

We had some good and some bad experiences with the food:
Good:
-The spanakopita was the best I’d ever had. Very buttery and delicious!
– The sangria was very good.
– Pita + rivithia was fresh and delicious!

Bad:
– Calamari had a very strange texture. It wasn’t soft or rubbery, somewhere in between. It was half chewy? I’ve never had calamari with such an odd texture. Also flavor wise it was off putting. Not a fan!
-Sea bream was very dry and flavorless. My partner didn’t eat much of it at all, and we didn’t want to take it home.
– My steak was overcooked and chewy, salad was fine, fries were fine. Sadly my side of pita that came with it was forgotten and I had to ask for it. I asked for my steak medium rare, I’ll include a photo of what I received. I’d call it a solid medium, light pink on one side, cooked through on the other.

Now I know I could have sent these dishes back, but I judge a dish how it comes out the first time. And I’d have sent back nearly our entire meal.

Overall for how expensive it was, I was pretty disappointed. Maybe we came in on an off day, but in my opinion no matter what time of day it is, your food should always be top notch. This visit makes me hesitant to try taki’s again!

I was in town visiting from a more rural area of the US and put “good Greek food” on my to do list while visiting. Found this place and OMG!!! So good, we went back twice in 4 days. This is the real deal, not a takeaway away gyro shop. So many truly authentic dishes on the menu, I wish I had more time to go back and try more of them. I am going spell everything wrong here, I’m sure. Had Dolamades and Mousaka one night. Spanokapita, the flambe cheese, and the lamb shank with orzo next night. Others had a shrimp and beef kabob special, and a lamb ragu, plus we had signature cocktails and wine. Unbelievable!!! Our servers, wish I could remember their names, were both wonderful and knowledgeable, and greatfully put up with us asking a million questions. Oh and the dessert! Of course we said no, being so full, but then decided to get one for the table to share and ended up getting into a spoon fight over it and licking the plate clean. Cannot recommend this place enough. It is the true meaning of a Hidden gem. If you have family in town visiting, this is the place to take them. They cook like family & treat you like family, and you’ll leave with a smile on your face.

We took out of town family here (the third time we’ve taken visitors from out of town, but not the last!) and had an awesome time. Damian, our server, was excellent, the food was wonderful and we were right next to the fireplace, so we were nice and cozy. My cousins will remember this for a long time to come, and can discuss their experience with my husband’s parents, who we took there this fall.

A great place for a great Greek authentic meal. There are plenty of appetizers on the menu, and those alone can make for a great meal. The grilled meats come in big portions with plenty of sides, all well presented. The seating options are also plentiful. There’s a bar, tables, and an outside patio. Prices are high, but the overall experience is worth the price.

Food was very good. We ordered 8 appetizers so had the opportunity to try many of the items. Entrees strong… Service was very good, too. (Darien) One negative that keeps us away from five-star ratings: their 3% upcharge on credit card transactions. Only mentioned right when we are getting card out, and with 7 of us I didn’t have the $600 in cash. Card fees are à cost of doing business… This fee left a bad taste in our mouth, and I hope mgt reads this and others speak up.

Authentic Greek food in Avon Lake. The patio was nice – certainly didn’t feel like you were in a plaza. Thé restaurant was nicely decorated and had ambiance. The food was good – we had the whipped feta trio and also loved the olive feta served with their breads. Octopus was enjoyed by one of us and they said it was very meaty and delicious. I had the arugula salad – it was huge and had lots of nice ingredients. Drinks were good – we tried the Greek beer – yum! Service was outstanding – even though they were busy!

Our first time trying out Greek food and it was pretty good. We tried the trio dips which were quite flavourful along with warm pita bread. We also got the sea bass which was great and the pork shank amazing. The ambience and service was top notch. The only issue we had was the food was very salty, every dish had probably 50% more salt than it should. Would definitely visit and try if not for the salt level, hopefully this was an off day and not the norm with the amount of salt. Will try again but it’s worth a visit for sure.
