We had the pleasure of experiencing this restaurant in two ways. First, they catered our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner, and everything was outstanding. The staff was friendly, professional, and attentive, making the event run smoothly. The food was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable — we couldn’t have asked for better service on such a special occasion.
A day or two later, we visited the restaurant itself to enjoy their food again. The atmosphere was decent, and once again, the staff was welcoming. I ordered the lamb gyro, and it was fantastic! We’ll gladly return, and I would absolutely use them again for another event if the opportunity arises.

Heard about this place having a real build your own salad bar. We had to check it out. The salad bar was fresh and stacked with all the good stuff. My wife really loved the soup. I had an Italian sandwich that was delicious! Will be back –

Like many salad bar lovers, I’ve mourned the loss of all-you-can-eat salad bars since 2020. Most places now offer sad little side salad stations or entree add-ons with limited options, but Galaxy Gourmet in Longview is the real deal!
After reading great reviews online, my husband and I made the 45-minute drive from the Oregon coast, and it was absolutely worth it. The restaurant is located in charming downtown Longview – I’ve passed it countless times without noticing this unassuming little gem!
From the moment we walked in, Carly(K?) made us feel welcome. She seated us, took our drink orders, and invited me to dive into the salad bar. The selection is phenomenal! So many fresh, colorful options, all properly chilled and beautifully presented. And here’s what really impressed me: they offer generous-sized plates (not those tiny dessert saucers most places provide). Let’s just say I filled mine enthusiastically and regret nothing!
The ranch dressing is out of this world! There’s also a soup bar, breads, and plenty of dressing varieties. My salad was absolutely delicious and satisfying. My husband had both a salad and a sandwich – his sandwich was beautiful and he loved it.
Carly checked on us at just the right intervals for refills, and her genuine friendliness with all the customers was heartwarming. You can see that everyone loves her, and it’s easy to see why. She made us feel so comfortable.
Galaxy Gourmet has become our new go-to spot. It’s priced right for the times, the food is fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is friendly, cozy, and casual. We’ll definitely be back again and again.

My sister and I each had a bowl of clam chowder. We agreed it was delicious! Great flavor, big chunks of clams, a nice amount of veggies, and a flavorful broth. Served with a little cup of oyster crackers. The waitress confirmed that the chowder was gluten free. And I gave the crackers to my sis, so I was happy. The pic was taken after I peppered it.

They say the bread makes the sandwhich…..believe me that sub roll was the bomb!!! Pricing was great, I had the bourbon caramel bread pudding!…Mmmmm–mmm!!

Its a great lunch spot. The salad bar is well stocked, the sandwiches are delicious and the soups are unique. In all ways a great little soup salad and sandwich stop. Good for a business lunch or a day date.

As usual, it was delicious. I know they are super accommodating. i just wish they had a vegan soup all the time on the menu. I could ask and have before, but if I’m paying for all you can eat soup and salad and dessert, I should be able to have the soup as a vegan. It’s always good. I’m just hoping for more options. I have asked, and they have gotten something from the back and reheated it. Just dont like asking all the time.
