Very tasty! The chicken was quite juicy and flavorful, no sauces needed but came with two. I enjoyed the green spicy sauce the most, like a mint chutney from The Oven. The fried yuca was extraordinary, I could have eaten an entire platter as a dessert. The lomo saltado beef was very savory and reminded me of Mongolian beef only much better. The French fries were perfectly cooked, not greasy at all. They were fantastic soaked in the saltado sauce. The pinto beans were more like a soup and much different than the Mexican style beans, that was a happy surprise. I wasnt a huge fan of the churro, it was filled with caramel sauce, however my husband enjoyed it. I thought it needed more cinnamon sugar.
The owner came to check on us several times and was very friendly. You could smell the chicken roasting and see rhe flames in the rotisserie, and I watched them loading more chickens. That was neat. We will be back and are excited to try the other dishes.

First time I ordered chicken it was flavorful but the food temperature was a bit low which shouldn’t be for the charcoal grilled rotisserie chicken.
2nd time I told them about my first experience then they served better chicken than the first time. Then we ordered tress leche cake which has some smell of garlic it feels like they put the desert and other marinated items together or without cover in the same refrigerator.
They need to keep focusing on quality as much as they can, their recipe of chicken is good.

The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish was full of authentic Peruvian flavor and tasted fresh. Everything we ordered was amazing.
The waitress was very nice, friendly, and attentive. She made us feel welcome and took great care of us.
We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Absolutely fantastic food. The rotisserie chicken is some of the best I’ve ever had — juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The Lomo Saltado was excellent as well. And the churro isn’t your typical greasy, sugar-drenched dessert — it’s delightfully sweet with amazing flavor. Highly recommend!

We have traveled to Peru many times and this restaurant is the real deal for rotisserie chicken. It’s so flavorful all the way through! My husband ordered the half chicken with fried plantains and I ordered Chaufa… which is Peruvian and Chinese fusion chicken fried rice. Fabulous!! We will be back again and again. Our server, Diana, was friendly and efficient. We loved it all. It’s great that we have this awesome addition to Lincoln!

Oh my goodness, this restaurant was phenomenal!! I ordered the 1/4 chicken with breast meat with a salad and fries. The chicken breast was so juicy and packed full of flavor. We also tried the Goldne chicken sandwich, fries yuca, plantains and 1/4 chicken dark meat. Everything was perfectly cooked and big portion sizes. The homemade sauces are creamy and flavorful. The staff are prompt and polite. I highly recommend this restaurant! We will be back!

Amazing food. A lot of it is authentic for Peru. We drive from Omaha just to come here. My favorite is the charcoal rotisserie chicken and the green sauce is very good too. Staff is friendly and owner always comes out and personally greets everyone. Highly recommend you try this place

I had been waiting a long time for them to open, and it was truly worth it. The rotisserie chicken was excellent. From my previous experiences eating at Peruvian restaurants abroad, most of them come close to the Peruvian flavor; however, it is still not the same as eating in Peru. In a small minority of cases, though, it truly feels as if you were eating in Peru—sometimes even better. The Golden Chicken is one of the few places that truly capture that experience. Rotisserie chicken is one of the most iconic dishes in Peru (a country known for its outstanding gastronomy), and I was genuinely impressed by the flavor at The Golden Chicken; for me, it is even far better than many chicken places I’ve eaten at in Peru. The restaurant and the service were excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This is the place to go – especially if you love rotisserie smoked chicken. Chef & Owner William has a 24 hour marinade and charcoal cooking method that produces amazing, flavorful, moist chicken. The sides are excellent also, especially the Yuca. Tres Leches cake tops the meal off. Server Diana was attentive, friendly, and prompt.

This place is so nice and clean inside, and the food is amazing. Seriously the best rotisserie chicken I’ve ever had, sorry Costco! The service was great too, very kind people and we felt super welcomed. My bf got the fried rice and we couldn’t get enough. I got to have Inca Cola, which I haven’t had in 15 years…so freaking good. It’s on 27th so the location is not that bad to get to, and plenty of parking. We’ll definitely be back.
