What a great local spot with easy, laid-back vibes! I loved everything we ordered from the powered-up rocket muffin to the perfectly sweetened vanilla latte. Sitting and working with this view can’t be beat, and everyone that passed by me I found having friendly conversations like they were in a loved one’s living room. This is a great spot to get a mid-day pickmeup, or meet a new neighbor!

All around great experience the few times I’ve stopped by. Cozy coffee shop and bakery nestled into a house with a wrap around deck and garden patio seating. Seating options are lovely! Assortment of breakfast items both savory (bagel, burrito, sammies) and sweet (muffins, scones, ricotta cakes, and much more). Everything is made in house and the chefs/staff are very kind and welcoming. Americano was solid – not too strong, not too light. **Coffee is only served in sturdy to go cups for the 12oz size, styrofoam for 16oz and up (hopefully this updates sometime soon).

Cute little coffee shop. They have plenty of seating, both inside and out. Good espresso and snacks! This would be a great place to meet up with a friend and hang for a bit! They service one order at a time, so don’t expect Starbucks speed.

Had a coffee and breakfast burrito. The burrito was too spicy, and the potatoes were tater tots smashed up. Eggs overcooked. Product was microwaved, not very good. Served on a paper plate Nothing special about the coffee or burrito. They still have COVID protections up too…good grief. No place to charge my phone. Building and grounds are poorly maintained. They had a box of used paperbacks and wanted $3.50 a piece for them. Most places would give them away. Unlikely to go back.

Nice place, a little strange with the attitude at the counter, but maybe that is small town stuff… They “reminded” me to tip, maybe I look like a bum . Porch was nice with my ecojarz poptop mason jar lid . No leaking for my backpack

Great coffee, muffin, GF & sandwich place. It can be busy & take a minute to get your order but it’s worth the wait. GF muffins are amazing & the scones are yummy looking too.

Let us take a moment to discuss Cappuccino. The proper balance of foam, to milk, to espresso is a delicate balance only slightly more important than the actual temperature of the drink itself. To hot and you have burnt the milk and usurped the flavor of the espresso. To cold, and, well who the heck wants to drink a to cold cappuccino.

The folks at Luna Cafe get this delicate balance. That is why the classic cappuccino is the house special of this establishment. It is a hard drink to get right and they have shouldered the responsibility of perfectly delivering on that dance time and time again.

It can be frustrating to put good effort into something that is overlooked by so many patrons. This is not your caffeine drug dealer cafe. This is a serious and professional barista cafe. If you are part of the mindless masses confusing over roasted coffee and burnt milk as a quality cappuccino then I would urge you to actually come here. Sit down, have that cappuccino in a mug instead of a paper cup, where the temperature can be maintained better and the chemistry of the barista’s hard work can be finalized. You will be rewarded for your patience with a creamy, buttery coffee experience.

At times I can tell that the caffeine zombies have worn away at the patience of some of the baristas here. It takes a while for some of them to warm up to you. However, if you are patient and forgiving of the occasional curt reply you will be recognized and rewarded with kind banter and warm greetings later on down the road. Don’t hold it against them folks, The Big Stupid reigns supreme these days and it can be taxing for anyone who cares about the little things, your barista is no exception.

The long and short; get the House Special, sit down, turn off your phone for a second and enjoy the quality coffee that was made by quality people. Look to the west and see that over the trees the peaks of distant mountains reach up to touch the face of God. There is beauty to behold here in Longmont, and the front porch of Luna Cafe is a pretty darn good place to see it.

Me and my husband are Sunday morning regulars. Luna Café is such a hidden gem with workers that get to know their regulars. Best espresso in town. Our favorite drinks are the House Special (traditional cappucino with 2 shots of espresso) and the Under Tow (shot of vanilla syrup, shot of half and half, shot of espresso – layers kept separate)
