Today was my first time visiting B4 BBQ. I found out about them from the Troubadour Festival in College Station. Customer service was excellent; friendly and engaging. The owner addressed me by name when he checked on me so that was greatly appreciated.
I ordered the 3 meat platter and all the meats had excellent flavor and were mouth watering. Mac and cheese was great with a little crunch on top. The street corn was very good as well. The Thai cucumber had great flavor to it and a great in between bite. Also got a Texas twinkie which was great as well. The roll had I believe a cinnamon butter taste on top which was great. Ended with cherry cooler with vanilla bean ice cream on top which was a great way to send me into food coma.
Nolan, the owner, is a Veteran and was great talking too. I drove 2 hours to come here, and I would definitely come back. Its inside the Mabank feed store in the middle of the building.

We are a bbq loving fam so 1 morning we skipped breakfast and headed out to B4. Took an hr so we were hungry once we arrived. Line was minimal and I was happy to see family platters available with a little bit of everything to try. All was great but the tortillas did break easily and I would have added less raisins in the broccoli salad and more sunflower seeds. The owner comes around to each table actively as a server so I had to request more pickled onions. Boy those added more flavor to each bite. We will definitely be back.

If you haven’t been here yet, get here! Craft BBQ at its finest! Not only are their proteins over the top good, their sides are given as much attention as well! House made sausage, the pork belly burnt ends were my dessert and what can I say about the service other than top notch! Worth the drive out!

We absolutely love B4 BBQ and Boba! The food is absolutely amazing, and the owners are the nicest people. We have made the short trek from Waxahachie twice now, and it has been more than worth it both times. The brisket is amazing, and we especially liked the ribs and burnt ends. Our favorite sides were the mac and cheese, elote, and potato salad. The different kinds of tres leches for dessert are so good- we have tried the Ube and the Biscoff, and both were amazing! B4 is definitely worth a visit for any BBQ lovers, they are very deserving of their Top 50 designation!

The most memorable part of lunch at B4 Barbeque was actually the owner, Nolan. He was everywhere—in the best way! He was hands-on with the front of house, making sure tables were cleaned promptly, food was coming out hot, and everyone had what they needed. He took the time to explain the menu and answer questions, and his passion for the food truly showed.
The BBQ itself was very good, but the service was what really stood out. Nolan’s level of care and involvement made the whole experience feel warm, welcoming, and well-run. It’s rare to see an owner so actively engaged, and it made a lasting impression.

My son and I visited today and I must say….this was an amazing experience! Everything was awesome! We ordered the Belly Buster, an order of bacon brisket, and an extra Texas Twinkie. Gahlee it was good! The brisket is insane! But, you know what was even better than the food….was our experience. My son and I have been following Nolan Belcher and B4 for a while now, and are so impressed with his/their journey. Nolan to us is famous, so to sit in the dinning room and have him personally deliver our food, and then speak to us as if we were friends of the family was so cool! But, we weren’t the exception, Nolan and his staff did that with everyone multiple times. It felt like we were breaking bread with family. The staff and Nolan nailed it! Such good food, and amazing people! Nolan stay the course…yall are killing it! Thank you for the hospitality and thank you for having us in your home. We will be back!

From Chicago came and was not disappointed everything was great, bad timing didn’t get to see Nolan or Emily, but the staff was great super friendly and helpful gave us a little tour of the smokers in the back too. We got a belly buster added some extra ribs and brisket bacon, and did all the sides but the potato salad . The fruit salad was a hit loved the freshness it added. The tres leche cake was a great way to end the meal. Bought two shirts as well “meats en place” great merch.

We loved the place. Staff was very friendly and attentive and the food was great. We had the sampler platter so we could try everything. Loved the elote (toppings are very hot! Will order without next time), sausage, turkey, brisket and Twinkie. The rib was dry and not much meat, the burnt ends were pure fat and not to our taste and the bbq sauce was a little sweet for us. They forgot the pulled pork on our tray but were happy to remedy the issue and it was good as well.
Overall it was great. Can’t wait to go back. Now we know what and how to order for our preferences.

B4 BBQ is the quintessential barbecue spot if you are looking for good authentic Texas bbq. Great variety of options great tasting sides and an atmosphere to match it all. A must visit if you happen to be in the Mabank area.

First of all, the vibe takes me back to my roots, I mean come on an old Feed Barn, is probably the best idea for a BBQ stop! When it comes to the Food, I had the brisket, great, tender, and juicy. It didn’t need it but paired great with the house sauce. The elote was a major co-star. I loved it spicy variation. Well worth the drive from Longview for more. Pretty dang good for an ol’ Army-dog! Go early, they wait on you like one dog waits on another, when it’s gone, it’s gone.
