The absolute best sushi restaurant in Waynesboro! I have been to this restaurant a few times now and it has been a great experience every time. As someone who loves to eat out, I can tell when food is made with love and the food here is made with love! The prices are better than other restaurants in the area, the restaurant is clean, and the servers are kind… you should definitely try this place!

I ordered sushi from here and it was pretty freaking great. Really well made and delicious. I would 10 out of 10 recommend this place for sushi or anything else. I travel a lot and I go to New England a lot. They are really good seafood and sushi. But this place definitely made me feel like I was back in that area.

We were in the area and thought sushi sounded great, so we hit up the drive-thru. For sushi!!?? You might be thinking. Yes, it was delicious! Can’t wait to go back and try more menu items. Once I do, I will edit my post with what I find, but for now go get a volcano roll!

Food tasted fresh, and done upon ordered. We ate inside rather than ordering over the drive thru. There were no other customers inside. The portions are very small. We ordered the three roll special for about $12. 90. It was not as much as we expected, as even after the miso soup and salad that comes with it, it wasn’t much food. The miso was lacking miso paste, it tasted mostly like hondashi. Miso soup does this thing when you move the spoon in it where the paste floats visibly around. But the one they serve is mostly just cloudy and watery. I believe it wasn’t a bad deal as for $12.90 you get to try 3 sushis, salad and soup. But they can definitely improve their miso soup and make the portions slightly larger.

I enjoyed our meal at Sakura, make sure you understand it is Japanese food and Japanese recipes. It will not taste like a Chinese restaurant. Everything we ordered was spot on (see my pictures). The waitress was top notch. We enjoyed all our drinks. I will be back for sure.

Our first and last visit. Our order was taken and delivered incorrectly. I ordered one Salmon Sushi and got 2 instead. One of our rolls was delivered, the other was forgotten. We had multiple waitresses which probably added to confusion. We were obviously done based on the debris on our table, we were asked if we wanted a box, we said no and she walked away. How about our bill? We had to flag another waitress to get our bill. We paid cash, and was shorted $4.00. Rather than flagging down another waitress to argue. We shorted the tip. Math isn’t hard!!

We always order take out thru the drive thru. Always a pleasant experience, the food is excellent. Not covered in oily sauces or spices. The crab rangoons are fabulous. They fold them like a star and now days most places fold in a triangle and it’s just not the same. We get this probably once a month. Excellent!
