Such a neat find! It was a nice stop for a few drinks while walking around town! They have a full bar and mocktails. This place was great to still be able to talk over a few drinks nice atmosphere with a bunch of fun props!

So great what a wonderful experience. My daughter’s best friend just got a new job and we had to all go take her to celebrate her new job at the dental clinic as receptionist. We all loved the environment and energy here 10/10 experiences great food and drink very creative and staff is coordinated well

Great place. The bartender is very well knowledged in his craft. The drinks he had me try were unreal. If you like barrel aged anything you will love this place.

Love this place. Very Speakeasy vibe with great craft beer selection, cask aged cocktails, and more. Easy going. Will return soon.
Update: since sven left this place has gone down hill a little. Current bartender needs to grow a personality..

Love the ambiance of this tucked away bar. Drinks are kinda pricey but really good. Owner needs to invest in the large bourbon ice cubes to make their drink selection legit. Definitely worth a visit!

Good place to get to Ballydoyle’s selection of beers and barrel-aged liquors on a weekend when you don’t want to see the band at the main establishment. Knowledgeable bartenders, of course. Turns out to be a best bet to find rarities like Founders Canadian Breakfast Stout or Dogfish Head Vanilla World Wide Stout. Seating is a little crowded with tight squeezes here and there. Accessed by the rear of the Ballydoyle building, past their outdoor seating area.

pretty cool joint. They had several very hard to get barrel aged beers for a reasonable price. Also barrel age their own sprits for cocktails. Small, quiet, and friendly. good little hangout for a weekend night. Get an uber. Everything is potent

A great find in downtown Downers
Grove. Excellent aged beers in a laid back atmosphere . It really does remind one of a basement speakeasy. Robin and Sven are really knowledgeable about their craft. Will definitely come back and try their whiskeys.

My biggest beef is that when a pint of Harp is a ridiculous $8.72, when I give you a $10 bill I should get $1.28 in change, not just a $1 bill. Ok, I guess I’m the dummy because after telling the bartender to add me up, waiting 10 minutes for that, I ended up giving you the dollar (actually $1.28) as a tip anyway because I didn’t want to look cheap. If there was a sign that said “we don’t use coins” or “we roll up to the next dollar in our favor”, I could understand. Bad way to treat a first time and last time customer.
