Food is delicious and hot. One of the few barbecue joint where the meat is actually hot. The potato salad is awesome and can be served cold and hot. Check out big Carl’s if you are in the neighborhood.

I can’t speak to how the other food taste because when I go there I always get the full rib rack. I just can’t stop getting that same plate. Lots of food, great taste and everybody is correct when they talk about the potato salad. I don’t know why it’s so great but it sure is. Friendly atmosphere. We go there quite often. I recommend!

Amazing barbecue!!
This was my first visit, and the staff are very friendly. The owner Carl had come over and personally thanked us for coming in and asked if everything tasted alright. Carl shows a great deal of pride for his food and it shows in the quality. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is interested in enjoying amazing barbecue in a comfortable setting.

4.5. Great fall off the bone ribs. Wings are smoked and deep fried for light and crispy skin. Pulled pork is also good. We would have liked a crispy skin on the chicken.
Had fried pickles too. Oh and that corn side dish is yummy.
Peanut butter cheesecake is homemade, rich and creamy.
Service was fast and super friendly.
Best BBQ in J.C. I have had. Well done Carl. Have a great summer and hope you decide to reopen after you move out of your current location in May.

Easy going atmosphere. Paper covers the tables fully to enjoy coloring for all ages. Music and games.
Large amount of meat, pork steak took up the entire plate!
My favorite is the pulled pork sandwich and per the recommendation of Carl tried the yellow bottle of sauce and it was perfect.
This place is all about the meat..just enough sides to give you a different taste but you will fill your belly with your bbq with no room left any sides really.

Excellent food and a great family run staff. Favorite oddly enough is their potatoe salad. They have both hot and cold, completely different than each other and both the best I’ve ever had. The lack of decent sides is what disapoints me about just about every BBQ joint in the region. Carl does it right!

Top notch bbq turkey. Also had the fried okra and potato salad. They were both decent. The Texas toast that was served with my meal was also quite good. Three bbq sauces on the table, spicy, mustard, and KC, I believe. All three were tasty. Really friendly staff. Definitely recommend the turkey. I’ll have to stop back by, when I’m down that way again, to try their ribs.

Family owned. When I visited this establishment, they had younger kids
seating & taking customer orders. BBQ was tender & smoky flavorful, not SALTY. Also, a map of the United States is on the wall with stick pins & they allow you to “stick” your home town.

Awesome Food, Awesome Service and great prices. The quality and quantity of servings are unbelievable. Carl, very friendly, nice and really cares you have a great experience. My only regret is I wished I would have tried it sooner! Not sure why the person wrote a review with one star.The other 14 reviews are perfect. Hmmmm….Maybe it wasn’t the restaurant? My experiences have been fantastic every time!

Best BBQ that I have had in a long time, got the pork steak, It was huge and taste great. Worth the price. 2 of us ate for 30 bucks.
