My wife, MIL, and grandma-in-law all had a lovely meal here! We went in for an early and relaxed dinner (4:45). We found it was a perfect time to enjoy the food and conversation. For the vegan and gluten free folk of the group, it was perfect and delicious. Great service from Mary. We appreciated her expertise on the menu.

The food was amazing, true farm to table taste and our server Mary was very friendly, attentive, and just had great table side manner! She had a perfect white wine pairing with the pasta entre I had and it ended up paring well with the fried calamari appetizer. The dining room is on the smaller side but that didn’t take away from our experience. They do have outdoor seating, but just keep in mind wait times if you come with a larger group. Reservations highly recommended during peak hours. We will definitely be dining here again!

So this is a nice gem in Door County. Here is a nice synopsis:
The Italian wine is top-notch. I’m talking, smooth and red and dry and beautiful.
The food was delicious and you can probably taste it looking at my pictures. But let’s get to the highlight for my wife. She is a huge fan of tiramisu and this was hands-down the best tiramisu she has ever had and the same goes for me if I’m being honest .
The location of this restaurant is ideal and so easy to get to. Mary, our server was attentive and on top of things perfectly. The inside could use some re-vamping but that’s a minor nitpick. The sun was starting to get a little lower in the sky before we left, and it made for a perfect atmosphere to walk out to the bay and enjoy the view.

We have come to brunch for their Blue Bear menu countless times and now regret not returning for dinner. The food was phenomenal and the staff incredibly friendly, attentive, and passionate about their food (for good reason). Many vegetarian and gluten free options THAT ARE DELICIOUS. The owners are incredibly intentional about their menu. They are passionate about their food. Definitely one for every trip in the future and a Door county essential.

We had such a wonderful experience here! The food was absolutely delicious, and the cozy atmosphere made it feel like the perfect place to unwind. Our server Mary was incredible—she wore multiple hats as host, server, and even bartender, yet never missed a beat. She was prompt, friendly, and made us feel like we were her longtime friends.
The desserts were so amazing that we came back the very next night! This time, Allie took care of us and she was just as excellent—attentive, kind, and welcoming.
Highly recommend this place for great food, a warm environment, and outstanding service!

I went there again last night 9/1/24 where they promptly seated me. (I had stopped at a restaurant I like in Sister Bay and they had open tables but refused to seat me – stating no open tables). Della Porta wants your business and afforded me great food and service.. Great people ) great restaurant. Dine there
July 25, 2025 – brought more people to Della Porta tonight – family. Great experience. Met a new (to us) waiter from Albania. Tesa (owner) greeted us personally. Great place. Looking forward to going back

Absolutely fantastic food! High quality, but smaller portion (excluding pizza). I got the pizza and usually wouldn’t pick sausage and pepperoni but the meat was delicious! The lemon cake was yummy too! My partner is celiac and there were plenty of options. Service was attentive and atmosphere was clean and calm.

My wife, mother in law and I all had a fantastic experience for our first dinner here. When we arrived for our 7:30 reservation they were swamped but they really made an effort to get us seated quickly. Sometimes tables linger longer than expected, certainly not anyone’s fault, everyone was just enjoying themselves. The service from the moment we walked in was professional, sincere and kind.
Mary was our server and she was wonderful. She had great recommendations, was so helpful and cheerful she really added to the positive atmosphere.
The food was excellent — between the 3 of us we had 2 plates of the Paccheri ala Genovese and 1 Diavola pizza. Absolutely loved both dishes. For Dessert we tried the Tiramisu and the Lemon Olive Oil cake. Both of those were beautifully done. We weren’t even hungry after our main dishes but were so happy we got dessert.
Can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend this place. Great vibes and great food.

Slightly confused about where Della Porta ends and La Piazza begins but regardless pizza is phenomenal and so is the service and wine selection. Alex was on his game and we thoroughly enjoyed the patio and good vibes. Meant to stop in and pick up some frozen sauces & eggplant parmesans to go – brilliant – so will be back sometime soon to do so! All in all great spot!
