Still one of the best pizza’s in Kalamazoo County. The crust is the perfect amount of chewy/crunch combined, along with flavor. I ordered the BBQ pork one. DELISH. The garlic cheese bread was scrumptious, too. And you must order the hummus. Mmmmmm. Texas Corners is lucky to have a great pizza place so close. It’s worth the drive.

ABOVE & BEYOND.
Evan the Manager deserves a raise. He went above and beyond given a bad situation that happen with a food delivery driver.
Now…I want to make sure I start off and say we have never had an issue with the food delivery until last night. I am sure it was a one-off situation.
Yet…Evan, after calling to check on our food hours later took the time to personally deliver our food to us. Even to the point of remaking our order because it sat so long and delivered it again.
WOW! When does this sort of customer care ever happen these days. Someone just making right a situation and doing so with the urgency and utmost concerns for our experience.
This guy is going to go far in life with this sort of action plan.
We know who and where we are going out for pizza or ordering take out from here on out.

I don’t even know where to start with Maestro’s Pizza in Portage. Walking in feels like stepping into a place that thinks it’s running on charm when really it’s running on fumes. The bar service is a whole disaster on its own the kind of “I can do anything I want” attitude that would be hilarious if it wasn’t so frustrating. Instead of actual customer service, you get this bizarre performance that clearly isn’t impressing anyone except maybe a couple of regulars who look like they’ve been welded to those barstools since the 80s.
And the pizza? If you told me it was leftover Papa John’s someone found in the back of a fridge, I’d believe you. It comes out cold, bland, and absolutely not worth whatever they’re charging for it. A local spot should never be losing a quality comparison to a chain on its worst day.
Management hasn’t stepped up, hasn’t improved anything, and honestly hasn’t proven they even notice what’s going on. The whole operation feels like it’s running on autopilot. At this point, I’m convinced you could grab a random person walking down the street, put them behind the bar, and the experience would instantly improve.

This place was our Hail Mary! My mom and I took a day trip to the beach; we’re from the Detroit area and we were in desperate need of a good restaurant on our way home. Food was great, and our waitress was awesome. It’s a small place, and it looked like she was both bartender and waitress for the whole place and she was awesome; brought us refills without us asking! Our orders were accurate and came out in a timely manner, and the food was delicious. Make sure you add Maestro sauce to your pizza crusts- it made a difference. The atmosphere was good, but it was a little hard to enjoy because of some of the other patrons- this is no fault of the establishment at all. There was music and the TV was on, and there were cute Edison bulbs by the bar, but some of the other customers were having a conversation in regards to what women can and can’t do. While that was frustrating, it didn’t tarnish our Maestro’s experience at all. Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Definitely check it out!

Wow, this used to be the absolute best pizza outside of NYC. Lots of fresh tasty ingredients. Not anymore. It is now the opposite. Sorry guys, I used to be a regular for years. I will try one more time to see if this was just a bad night. I hope you manage to figure this out, I wish you well for the future.
