We had the chicken tacos, the chicken and chorizo tacos and the pork tacos, it was very disappointing. They came with an avocado salsa that was spicy and it tasted a lot like garlic, I’m not sure if the garlic flavor was from the salsa or from the chicken. The chicken tastes very very seasoned with takes the flavor of the chicken away. The texture was also not good. It was kinda chewy. I asked the person in the front if the avocado salsa was spicy and he said “very little” but in reality, it was spicy (I don’t like spicy stuff at all but I can tolerate just a slight kick of spicy on food). We literally ate a couple of bites from the tacos and left them cause we couldn’t finish them. We definitely prefer tacos from authentic mexican places…I wouldn’t recommend the tacos here

Another experience with HST; another wonderful experience. In the hustle and bustle of this busy food hall, Hunger Street was a recognizable name that drew me right in.

For a little storefront, their menu is pretty varied. There’s a taco for all preferences and dietary restrictions. I forget exactly the tacos I got, but they were absolutely delicious.

One was on a flour tortilla, which was nice and crispy, my preferred tortilla. One was on a corn, which I don’t usually like, but this one was a little more handmade. It held together nicer, didn’t crumble under my folding.

And I’ve always been a fan of the simplicity of the taco fillings. Don’t overfill the tacos. Get quality ingredients and let them sing. Overall, I love HST, and will probably always get a taco when I see a location.

This is in a food hall so expect a casual atmosphere and open seating where you can find it. However the food is delicious and healthier than most places. Cooked in beef tallow and seed oil free it’s one of the few places in the area that does this. I recommend the chicken quesadilla, the smashed potatoes are an absolute must!! And the brisket tacos are a few of my favorites.

Hunger street tacos and crooked can beer, with Kereoke. What fun! The service and food at Hunger Street Tacos were great. Perfect for the venue! We took the food over to the Crooked Can Barrel room and sang some songs. Great evening with the family.

This happened at the other location, but I want to warn others in case they dine here. Muslims and Jewish people please be aware.

When a menu item says brisket taco – most people don’t think it will have pork in it. Especially when it doesn’t say it on the menu. My husband and I stopped by today. We enjoyed the tacos and thought to order more for dinner. Imagine my surprise when I see that their brisket tacos have pork in them, never mentioned on their plastic menus in the store. Disgusting. All they’re trying to do is cheapen the actual brisket with nasty pork products. It’s 2025, cultural and religious dietary restrictions exist and it’s absolutely ignorant of these owners to not be considerate of that. I will be filing a complaint with the health department and I will be disputing the charge with my credit card company. Disgusting.

Edited review – not sure why you deleted your response, but I’m so happy you cater to vegans, great for you. My problem is your dishonest menu. You have a chorizo brisket taco and a brisket taco. What is the point of differentiating them? Each taco is 5 bucks with a tablespoonful of meat at best, and the meat that is on there is diluted with cheap other meat. Display your ingredients. This is not much to ask for.

We always order from Hunger St Tacos in Winter Garden. Yesterday, I ordered about 8 beef tacos, 8 chicken tacos & 6 cheese tacos. In the past, everything was so tasty & flavorful. What we got yesterday for pick-up was unseasoned tacos with no salt & seasoning, very dry meat, old & spoiled taco shells. It was very disappointing! All the tacos we ordered in the past were good even after several days in the fridge. The ones we got yesterday, October 3, 2024, were the worst tacos ever! We ought to have a refund!

If this is the quality of food Hunger Street Tacos is serving then it’s not worth getting food from.

Phenomenal. I love this brewery. It’s the perfect place to bring the whole family downtown. Hunger Street Tacos is the best food in all of downtown. Great price, great service.

Ordered Barbados tacos…
Tasted good, sauce was a little over powering ( I love heat, so it wasn’t that) for the amount of meat and other things in the taco, but overall was good…
Very little communication from the counter help- they are your ambassadors… more engagement is needed there…
The price of a tiny taco (I split order with my wife) 1 taco $4.50… so 3, was a lot for three taster- sized (3-1/2 inch?) tacos…
So if you’re going to charge $$$ better make it a damn great experience….
I will come back as I love Mexican food, but only if I’m craving Mexican or I have already tried the others…
Lastly- didn’t have forks in their serve yourself automated dispenser (it wasn’t busy at 4 in afternoon)

Been to this location twice and the big dude upfront is the worst employee any business can have. The guy will literally not even greet you. He is only there to answer half of your questions. The other half you have to figure it out for yourself. Food is ok nothing wow. There are way better places to eat at Plant St Market. Pizza joint is pretty solid. Cheese steaks across are very good. If Mexican is your appetite try the Whole Enchilada it has great service and great food. HST consider retraining the big dude upfront or send him to the back of the house instead.
