3/7/26 Sanitation score 97.5 very good. Friendly staff. Very disappointed from what they used to be as far as portions. Use to be way more meat, use to have meat all the way to edges. Got a 5″ roast beef & Corned beef, got home..looked like a sandwich made for 5 yr. Old. Was the best location in town, to me. Look like I’m going to have to stop going all together. Smh

Stopped by my favorite sub place today. Got a Steak & Cheese sub, with no provolone, no bell peppers, no mustard or mayo. Great crew. Came home and found out my sub accidentally had cheese on it, called and they had my re-make ready to go. Not complaining to corporate at all, definitely no need. Some places will be combatant against you, not this place. This is a great bunch of people and we are all human. Def will be back many more times after this. They deserve to enjoy their environment, be paid accordingly and do a great work. I adore these folks. Five Stars always for this Firehouse location.

My food is always good and the servers are pretty good too. The problem here is the manager or owner. He made it so uncomfortable to dine in due to his constant abuse if the staff al lunch hour. He was rude, loud, and made it a point to be so loud it was uncomfortable. He constantly corrected staff, humiliated, and embarrassed them. I ran customer service for decades, and this is not how you train and motivate. The guy is no leader, sorry manager, and a loud mouth. We took our food outside to escape the ridicule he was giving staff. His name is Alex.

I am partial to this chain in general and have to say that this location did not disappoint. The King’s Hawaiian is back! Come enjoy this pork & slaw classic with your favorite Coke 360 soft beverage! Dining area was clean. Restrooms are single stall and very clean. Plenty of free parking. Staff were friendly & helpful.

It’s been many years since I ate at Firehouse. And technically it still has because I tossed the sandwich in the trash. I ordered on the app and picked it up and didnt open it until I was back at work. I thought I was getting a Philly Cheesesteak sub but whatever “meat” was on there didn’t look very appetizing.The food has definitely degraded since I last ate there. It also smelled like an ash tray. Guess I got what I paid for with a fast food sandwich place.

On sept 27 around 10:45 am I witness upper management abusing employee. The manager in question was cursing at employee and throwing items around in the back. The employee was visibly upset when he came from the back. Other employees looked shaken. I will not be a returning customer.

This is the best Firehouse Subs, if not the best sandwich shoppe in WNC. Super attentive and friendly staff, excellent customer service and order accuracy. And possibly the most professional manager around. I was a corporate Food and Beverage director for 15 years and it takes a lot to impress me. Other restaurants in the area should take notes from this establishment. Thanks again.
