We waited for quite a long time for the food, only to be served dishes that tasted like pre-made meals. The pizza was hard and difficult to eat, nothing close to fresh or authentic.

The billing was just as disappointing. The prices shown on the credit card machine didn’t match the listed prices, and at first they even tried to charge us double by mistake. When we asked for clarification, the staff were unfriendly, unhelpful, and couldn’t explain clearly.

Honestly, I can’t understand why so many people recommend this restaurant.

We really enjoyed the stone bake oven Margarita and Pepperoni Pizzas we ordered! And the Veal Sandwich was incredible also! I highly recommend this cute family owned Sutton restaurant. They also have a cute patio where you could enjoy Gelato as well as many coffee/latte options! – Great for summer dates!

First visit August 2025:

To the owner:
This business could use a very big esthetic overhaul…. the florescent lighting was dark and it looked like stuff was just everywhere.

The front door needs to be cleaned and painted, the sign that says “call this number” is placed so you cannot read the phone number to the business. There are a lot of paper generic signs saying different rules that could be more professional.

we went for the gelato but none of it looked appetizing, so we had the moose tracks from Kawarta. The ice cream tasted like it had freezer burn.

The printer on your credit card machine doesn’t work (the employee knew this before we paid)

I saw people walk in and walk right back out of your store and I understood why.

Apparently the food is amazing but the way it’s displayed did NOT do it justice or make people want to try it…

There also needs to be a clear sign where to enter… I saw people wondering where the entrance was. The seating on the side was nicely done..

Just one small business owner to another… a lot can be done to improve the look of the business… with the freezer burn ice cream and the gelato looking like it was thrown in the containers… I have no interest in returning even after a lady came out with a weeks worth of food that she was raving about.

I took plenty of pictures…

Really nice Italian spot in the Simcoe area. The Veal Sandwich was great, the Rice Balls were awesome too and the Pizza was average. I’d definitely return again someday whenever I’m in that area.

2024 visit has it going down a star unfortunately as it seems they increased their prices a bit and reduced the quantity. They changed their Sandwich buns and put less meat and for almost the $16 price tag it’s not as good of an experience as before.

This summer I had the the lemon sorbet and it was delicious. I love that they have vegan options, not just ice cream. I went with my friend who took out the carbonata and later told me it was very good. I went back not too long ago and had the gnocchi pomodoro and my friend had a pizza. No complaints, was a tasty hot meal.

A really nice homey Italian dinner with fairly authentic food. The rice ball was great and it’s definitely one I’ll order again. The veal sandwich tasted amazing but it needed at least one more slice of meat in there. They did have one of my favourite butter tarts. Overall it’s a place I’ll be going back to.

We stopped by to pick up take out tonight. We had an absolutely wonderful experience. First off as we walked lost as it was our first time, the person who served us was happy to walk us through what they had, give us suggestions and was very patient.

The food was amazing, though we ordered off the hot table, everything was wonderful and hot when we got it home. We tried the veal Parm sandwich, the pasta of the day and the meat lasagna. I would highly recommend any of them.

This little gem was missed by us for far too long, but our family will be happy to go back and enjoy their offerings whenever we can.

I recently came down to visit and I stopped by nonna’s for some gelato and their veal sandwiches. The owners and staff are so welcoming! The last few times I’ve been here their gelato was so delicious! They now have a pumpkin spice flavour which did not disappoint! And their veal sandwiches are amazing as well. I will definitely be back for more!

We couldn’t have asked for better food or service. I had 9 people coming for lunch on Sunday and Nonnas took care of it all. I ordered 3 of their family meals which include salad, meat (we got chicken), pasta (we got penne à la vodka), and tiramisu or ice cream. We chose gelato.
Everyone had plenty to eat with leftovers. They even provided garlic bread. We’ll be back!

We got the eggplant lasagna, super delicious and the flavours blended well together. The latte is also amazing. The pizza was ok, it was probably sitting around. It was hard to chew
