Last night, we went for dinner for my husband’s birthday. His cheeseburger was juicy and delicious. The fries were perfect and crispy. My beef/veg soup was as good as the last time I enjoyed it. Love the clear broth and the depth. There were plenty of bits of beef and great veggies. The key is the soup was perfectly seasoned. Nothing worse than overly salted soups and this was perfectly seasoned. It also had fresh garnish and a little tang to it. I couldn’t quite tell what gave it the tang but it added more complexity to a beef/veg soup that was refreshing! I have to avoid dairy and very much enjoy eating vegan dishes. Unless you go to a very targeted restaurant, you cannot blame a restaurant for not having a lot of vegetarian or vegan options. I was happily surprised to find options on their menu. I had the Hoppin Jane (vegan) and it was DELISH! (see photo) Not only did it have great texture and balance of flavors, it was HUGE. I can easily get 2-3 meals out of it. Everything came out hot and servings were generous.
Service was excellent too. Whenever someone passed our table, items were cleared. Drinks/water were promptly refreshed. Our server (the bartender) did a great job of helping us with our order. My husband also got a free bday dessert, which was such a nice surprise. We got the fresh pan chocolate chip cookie with ice cream on the side (see photo). So nice to get a hot cookie fresh from the oven. It has a softer texture and was not overly sweet. We finished every bite. We always liked the ambiance..elevated cozy. Enjoyable for friends and family and yet nice enough for a special business/company dinner. Looking forward to becoming regulars!
This was my first time there & all of us already made plans to return. We’ve found a new favorite
Our waitress was knowledgeable when asking her questions. When we asked what she would recommend, she asked each one of us specific questions and gave her recommendations based on our answers! Not a single one of us was disappointed! Noco Provisions is a must try!
– Provisions Cheese Burger – $18: Tasty for sure. It had thicker smash patties and they were very juicy. The secret sauce was the main player and shaped most of the flavor. It is a thousand island like flavor and very good. The cheese was rightly proportioned. The toppings were a little lost in the flavors, but good. The bun was slightly soggy on the bottom, but it didn’t impact the flavor much. The bun was larger, but lighter, with sesame seeds.
Overall, the burger was great, but a tad on the expensive side for what you get unless you get it on special (Monday).
– French Fries (comes with the burger): Dark, but very good. I was a bit fearful the dark appearance was old oil, but I think it was what they infuse their fries with. I cannot put my finger on it exactly, but it was fuller bodied and slightly unique flavor. As with many restaurants, there was a lot of salt.
They have a ton of specials and it can be VERY cost effective to visit with intentionality. I did not plan this visit and paid the higher prices.
– Homemade Breadstick – $1: Full and soft with a thicker exterior. The parmesan and seasoning on top was light and flavorful.
Water is served in Ball jars (about 8-10 oz) which keeps them colder longer, but needs more constant filling.
– Service: The wait was quite long. We were seated immediately, but it took 15 minutes for the waiter’s first visit to get waters and order. It then took 20-25 minutes to get our food. This was out of the ordinary as the dining area was not very busy and there seemed to be plenty of staff. I am sure the waiter was busy with something, but something was off.
That said, he was helpful and kind and didn’t rush. Everything was made right and he worked with us to get an item we asked for that was not on the menu directly (a breadstick). The staff are cleanly dressed and professional.
– Atmosphere: Upscale and classy. They have almost all kinds of standard seating you can think of including outdoor and bar seating. They have had celebrities visit and there are pictures of those who have visited with signatures on the wall.
– Conclusion: I would recommend their burger, but plan on a lengthy visit.
Visited on a Saturday at 1pm
The service was excellent and she made sure everything was up to our expectations. I told her about the veggies and she said she could take the dish back. I said no thanks because that was delightfully cooked salmon and the noodles and sauce were excellent. She made it right by giving my guest a cup of soup. The hamburger and fries he had were great. I would go back and try something different next time.
If we were ever to come back, it would likely be just for drinks and maybe an appetizer since neither of us were pleased with our mains.
