We were visiting friends in Weimar and stopped in at this little gem. We got there at about 5:45pm and soon after, it started filling up.
Queso was solid and chips were homemade. We had the Super Mexican (tamal, crunchy beef taco, and your choice for 2 enchiladas) and the Combination Plate (Crunchy beef taco, chalupa, your choice of 2 enchiladas). Everything was HOT (not spice, just good and hot), and fresh. The beef enchiladas were FULL of meat. It was just really good Tex Mex. For the four of us—sodas, queso, and 4 entrees it was $62 (without tip included). Pretty awesome. I would recommend stopping if you’re on I-10 traveling through, and going into town. It’s not even 3-4 mins from the freeway.

The resturant is about 5 to 7 minutes off of I-10, in downtown Weimar. It’s worth the very short detour if you are hungry and passing thru the area. The atmosphere is very casual and they can seat most parties regardless of size. Parking is in on the street in front of the resturant.
I ordered the Enchiladas Verdes and it was great. The enchiladas were stuffed with very tender chicken.
Service was casual but very friendly. It was slower than you’d expect in a big city, but not actually Slow. The waiter was very helpful.
The chips seem like they are homemade, and I liked them. The sauce was a bit hotter than I prefer, so be warned if you don’t like fairly spicy stuff.
I will return.

Friendliest place in Weimar. Local hangout where everyone knows each other. Delicious flavor. Salsa is spicy served with fried tortilla chips. Tacos are very filling. Ice tea is like half a gallon. They’re huge! Plenty of parking. Good highway stop.

We love this little small-town café. Prices and portions were perfect. They were able to accommodate a special request with no problem. Chips were awesome!

Stopped by this restaurant on my way to San Antonio from Houston. All the food was fresh, homemade tortillas, homemade chips, salsa was excellent, enchiladas Verdes and crispy chicken taco were both very good. Very good homemade meal. Highly recommend!

I have stopped thru here over the years whenever I pass thru Weimar. Consistently their food tastes pretty good. But my last visit their changed my mind about this place. Is the food still good – yes! Is it the best Mexican food I have ever eaten – not even close. It is though good average tasting food on a consistent basis. I have never left thinking “wow that was amazing”, but at the same time I have never left thinking “wow that was terrible”. My last visit to Leticia’s however has forced me find a new place to eat in this area. The food is still pretty good but man their prices have skyrocketed and their portions have gotten much smaller than they used to be. I recently had their Chilaquiles which were always my favorite breakfast dish from them and was shocked how small the portions had become. I was also shocked to see they were now over $9 in price. Sorry but a handful of chilaquiles, a spoonful of potatoes, and a spoonful of beans, with 2 tortillas only (they charge you extra for additional tortillas) for over $9 to me is a rip off. I ate the dish and proceeded to drive down the road to buy a breakfast taco from another place because I was still hungry (thats how small the platter was from Leticia’s). The breakfast taco from the other place cost $5 and had 3 times more contents than the Leticia’s chilaquiles platter (which again was over $9 and that’s without tip). Looks like my business will be going to the breakfast taco places in this town until Letica’s gets their prices and portions back to what they used to be when I enjoyed eating here. I understand times are tougher these days – but I am not feeling ripped off at the other places I eat at like I am at Letica’s. If you are doing to jack up your prices – at least make the portions the same as they used to be so that those who dine in your place leave full or maybe even with leftovers.

Keep in mind. When you look at my picture from today, I simply removed the meat from what they call a burrito and a side salad. Doesnt even come with beans and rice. I did not take even one bite or remove anything from this plate. It was just under $10 and this was called a Chicken Fajita Burrito. The service was excellent and I really wanted to tip her as it was not her fault, but the place stuck to their guns that this plate was a burrito and it was worth $10. They should have taken my $10 and given it to her. I even apologized to her, but told her I cant shell out anything more based on principle. That is ridiculous and this restaurant should be embarrassed for serving this. Now, are all of their plates like this, it didn’t look so, but this chicken was dry and again…This is not a burrito for any part of Mexico or Texas.

Food was not really bad but was not good. Barely mediocre. Chips and salsa definitely below expectations. Although they are friendly. Customer service was bad. After my food was served nobody came back to my table to check or refill my drink.
Also too quite awhile for my meal to be brought to my table. I would not recommend
