David Ffinch (1949-2012) is the visionary behind Roosevelt Lake Marina. A jovial entrepreneur passionate about lake life and family, he had a full-throttle approach to life. The devoted group of people who have spearheaded the improvements to the marina grounds, including this restaurant were his very best friends and confidants. They’ve continued to build out Ffinch’s vision since his passing in 2012. We hope his spirit will live on here and continue to inspire some full-throttle adventures.

Bad news – Probably the worst restaurant burger I’ve eaten. If you’ve ever tasted a Costco Bocha burger, that’s what it reminded me of. A precooked, reheated patty. No way that was a freshly-cooked burger, so don’t bother ordering it medium. You prepay and that includes the tip. Keep that at 2-4 bucks and that will match the level of service.
We sat outside and ordered from the window. The staff was very nice and the drinks and food came out quickly.
We split the fish tacos, which were delicious and huge with tasty slaw. We each ate one of the two tacos and were full. We also ordered the brown butter cake with caramel and chocolate sauce- it was lovely! The parents with us ordered the foot long hot dogs, which were absolutely huge and we were told that they were very delicious. If anything, one hot dog could easily be split by 2 people.
I ordered a Big Wave and he ordered a margarita. Both drinks were very good. If I lived around here, I’d very likely return.
Reservations needed for inside sitting (inside there’s also an arcade and bar).
This place is really cool because it’s not too rural or anything, but IS super peaceful and serene (the views are breathtaking, trust me). The food is pretty good (french fries are amazing and crispy, but pizza crust is a little dry). Finally, the customer service is OFF the CHARTS (one employee even offered to take a family picture).
The only issue I had was with the bill. Upon checking my credit card transactions online, I noticed that my tip was changed to reflect a higher number. My credit card company credited me the difference. So, pay cash or check your statement because this is not right.
When I pointed this out, the staff took the pizza back to add the missing ingredients, but even after that, green peppers were still missing, and the bacon was overcooked and the crust was burnt.
Would you be okay with eating something like this? I was really disappointed with the quality and accuracy of the order.
The beer on tap was good and the views of the lake were lovely. I say just get drinks and maybe an appetizer.
Bbq plate was great. The mixed fried plate was horrible. Tater tots, french fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings all tasted like fish. They said they would take it off the bill but didn’t.
