Delicious smells fill the air right as u walk in and discover the clean, modern look the owners choose for this interior. Price is moderate and the staff was working together swiftly expediting the large line of patrons that crowded in behind us to order. Chips and rice we’re good No that was plenty large enough to satisfy even a hearty appetite.

Good little spot. I got a taco salad and was able to load it up as I liked. It was pretty good, maybe a tad overpriced but not bad. I’m hoping to return because there are several things on the menu that I want to try, mainly the torta which wasn’t available the day I went, hence the loss of a star. I chose to try this place because I wanted a torta so I was a bit bummed to learn that I couldn’t get it

I really was hoping to find a place that can satisfy my craving for Chipotle while in Carbondale. And man am I happy about finding Changos!! I really enjoyed their burrito. The meat is well seasoned, not dry at all. I was very satisfied. Very tasty & fulfilling. The prices are very reasonable as well! I was really hungry after a hard workout so I got a 14” burrito, double meat ($2.00) and guac ($1.25). It only was $15 and it came with chips. They also have 8” and 12” burritos too that are even cheaper. Acceptable customer service, nothing to really brag about but that’s irrelevant. The food was good. I am a big fan.. catch me here every week! Lol

I’m thankful for a local, enhanced alternative to Moe’s (and restaurants like it- Chipotle, Qdoba, etc). Chango’s will always be my first option in Carbondale.
Chango’s does an excellent job of bringing good, authentic Mexican flavors like barbacoa and chicken tinga to the very popular burrito assembly line style of restaurant.
They offer all the standard and upgraded sides like multiple bean/rice options, grilled peppers/onions, queso, and fresh veggie/herb toppings and do all of them very well. In addition to allowing you to create a taco, nachos, quesadilla or a bowl, they also offer the option to create a torta (Mexican sandwich).
Of course you always get a serving of fresh tortilla chips and salsa with your order and can complete the meal with a great cup of horchata. It’s a must try on the downtown strip of Carbondale!

I’ve had everything on the menu but always come back to the chicken, bacon, quesadilla. They load it up with generous portions of each item, especially the meat. But the great topper is the chipotle ranch sauce. I don’t know what all is in it, but it adds the final touch to your entree. Service is a little slow, but it’s made right in front of you, to your satisfaction, so can’t complain too much. Dine-in area is looking a little rough but gets the job done. It is in my permanent rotation for my weekly fix of great Mexican food.

I can’t say much about the other food items they have because I only get the burritos with the chips & salsa. But the burritos here are fantastic and always packed full,so your not getting a tiny burrito even when you get the smallest size they have its still quite a big burrito. I like that they have a good selection to choose from when making your burrito as well. My only complaint would be that I wish the salsa cups you get with the chips was a bit bigger. I always run out of salsa way before I’m out of chips.

Wonderful food and very sweet people who run it. Cute family! They make amazing burritos and things are actually made from scratch. Best steak I’ve had at a Mexican restaurant by far. Their queso is to die for and they are always incredibly generous with their chips and salsa that they give on top of the food!

A phenomenal experience, I’m so glad changos is back in town because they are my go to spot for burritos, nachos, and tacos. You will never be disappointed. Everything is so fresh!

The steak nachos are superb! I always get delivery to my workplace, and they are always early. The employees and delivery drivers are always very kind and friendly. Prices aren’t too bad either. Highly recommend you try them at least once!
