My food was not worth what I paid. My sandwich was $9.25 wow. My husband’s 3 meat plate was ok but the potato salad tasted kind of off. The best thing was the service. They were friendly and fast.

This restaurant has prices like world renowned Country Tavern (Kilgore,Tx). My husband got a medium sized two meat plate…there wasn’t enough meat to make a sandwich. I got a turkey sandwich and should have just made one at home from store bought meat. $10 for a tiny sandwich. I can go to Bodacious in Gladewater or Kilgore and have more meat than I can eat for the same price!!

Bodacious used to be a decent bbq place 20 yrs ago… no longer the case. They skimp on meat, while charging you $12 for a sandwich. Don’t even get me started on the ribs… they’re all fat and bone. If you think this is a good bbq joint, you simply have never had good bbq. They use oak to smoke their meat which is not necessarily a bad thing but you’d think they give you more meat seeing as how oak is the cheapest wood to smoke with. Oak is also the less flavorful of all smoking woods. They’re potato salad is ok, beans are edible (barely), ribs are inedible and they’re brisket is edible. Avoid this over priced bottom tier bbq joint… clowns.. garbage … you can get way way better for less.

The food was delicious. I didn’t care for the potato salad. Beans could have been better. But the ribs were delicious. They could have described more about the menu. We will have to go back again real soon and try the other meats they have to offer.

Not very friendly, not rude could care less if I was there , no hello or thank you, the side dishes were the worst I ever ate, the potato salad was so bad I took a bite and threw it out the beans were not baked beans they were regular cooked in the pot with no flavor like you would Make at home when you had nothing else to eat! The bbq beef sandwich was fine , I was able to eat that, I never tasted potato salad this bad! . Will not come back!

First time trying this BBQ place out and I chose the brown bag special “Mel Man” which turned out to be delicious (pork/beef) mixed. The BBQ chips was my personal touch to it! Never can have too much BBQ!

We were on vacation visiting in TX from WI and I wanted us to have some good BBQ before we left the state. We drove 25 miles out of the way to get to Bodacious. We are so happy we did!!! Let’s just say there was no time for photos before we ate, and there was nothing left when we were finished. The employees were very polite and kept up with all of our questions then brought our food out to us, it was fantastic! If your in the area I recommend stopping by and if you’re not then you should still go! The sauce was so tasty that we bought a bottle.
