I had the breakfast burrito two days in a row. Delicious! Great price! The menu offers a broad selection of options…can’t wait to try the carne asada.

I ordered the Pollo Asado burrito with a side of rice. The rice is really good. It is seasoned well and cooked perfectly. The chicken burrito not so much. The chicken inside was ice cold, way colder than the sauces and veggies put inside of it. I’m not sure if it’s raw, frozen chicken, or if they just cook and freeze the chicken and reheat it when it’s ordered. I genuinely cannot tell by looking at it, but I guess I will find out soon since I ate about a fourth of it before realizing. The guacamole and salsas are good though, so I guess that’s a plus. Overall, the chicken ruined the entire meal.

The food is good. Closest to SoCal you will find. However, the size of the burritos and food porttions are nowhere near the same. They used to be nice big traditional California sized burritos. Now they are small like something you would get in Texas. We paid $45 for this! Shameful.

Tried at night. Taco shell was old and hard to chew. The sauce on my enchilada tastes really bad and made me feel a little sick. In general the food is very greasy and nothing I ordered is fresh. Reminds me of eating at school cafeteria. Still feel sick writing this. Surprised at the positive reviews.

Frisco’s best kept secret. Open 24 hours!. Excellent food! top notch service! If you are tired of heat lamp sad limp tacos made from whatever mystery meat the fast food place is using then by all means, you do you… Otherwise, give this place a try its simply amazing! There is no tex-mex here this is Authentic Southern California Mexican food including carne asada burritos with fries and mahi fish tacos

Valerie’s Taco Shop is a very nice place to have lunch at. As far as I know, the place is always busy with locals enjoying their Mexican cuisine. The food is overall really good! I really enjoyed the enchiladas and I was told that their vegetarian options are also really nice. The service was good, and we were served our food quickly. The atmosphere is nice. Overall, it’s an enjoyable place to have a meal!

I visited your restaurant in Frisco, Texas this afternoon, and the experience was completely unacceptable.

The staff was extremely rude. When I politely asked an employee to lower her voice while she was loudly talking on the phone on speaker mode, she rolled her eyes at me and then continued to behave in a brusque and disrespectful manner. Additionally, the salsa bar was a dirty mess — sauces spilled everywhere and clearly not being cleaned or maintained.

This level of unprofessional behavior and lack of hygiene is shocking and requires immediate action.

First time going, immediate new favorite spot! So delicious, ingredients from scratch the right way! Salsa’s were hot too!! The way it’s supposed to be!
True NON-TEXMEX option.
We had a carne asada torta (so delicious just like I remember from home around New Mexico), California burrito was huge my wife saved half for later, kids bean burrito was also huge bigger than our hand!! Still working on it also got horchata and pineapple juice, all made from scratch the right way!!

The owner Steve is a great guy! Have got to know him more through our church. His wife pride themselves on putting the money in the quality of the food to do it right, and let the bellies talk to spread the word. Multiple locations around DFW.

Definitely a repeat customers and taking all our friends and family that visit!

UPDATE
Still our favorite Mexican spot!
Love Valerie’s!! We go often and always recommend it to others especially those that love hot sauces!!

7 years in San Diego gives you a certain love for the local burritos, my happiness living in Texas has just increased by 15% after eating this carne asada burrito. Steve the owner is an amazing guy, incredibly helpful and friendly. The sauce is great, the prices are super reasonable and the food was perfect, although hopefully next time it comes out a touch hotter temp. It also was very fast which I appreciate, I will definitely be back!

This restaurant needs to work on who is working the drive through menu, also the presentation of the person working the window. I’ve cancelled my order twice because of how the person appeared taking the money at the window. Hygiene at a fast restaurant is important, nails, teeth, hair, overall appearance is important. I’ve seen the person working the window help with cook the food without gloves or washing hands.

Also, communication is important. the speaker seems to broken often or the person working the drive through does not have the radio on or can’t understand the order. I’ve ordered carne asada burrito and received pollo asada twice.

As far as the food. I love it and it reminds me of home – San Diego Taco shops
. But the staff presentation needs works.

Update: since my last review I’ve been back through the drive through several times. They have certainly changed the staff and the new gentleman working the window is so pleasant and friendly. He was the only one out of all the people working the drive thru to actually hand me a receipt that had an option to tip. I think all the employees should be giving this to all drive through customers.

Now as for my experience todayeith the food .. it was terrible. I ordered 5 rolled tacos and a California burrito. I think they have a new chef, because what I received today was not good and not prepared properly. I also noticed a new lady working the window so when I got my order something told me to check my order right there. I immediately showed the lady my rolled tacos that had barely any guacamole or cheese.. she then called the cook to the window as she agreed something was wrong.. and she apologized and gave me extra guacamole on the side. Then when I got home and later ate my burrito, as you can see it looks dry and you don’t see any cheese. This was so disappointing as the carne asada was also not seasoned to flavor. I’m going to take a break from this place until they can get the cook to learn how to prepare the food the right way.
