Visited The Club in Baltimore this week. I’m hoping this review helps the management to improve to meet customers’ needs and to continue to provide an excellent dining experience.

+ Seated and order taken immediately for Monday night prime rib special. Had made reservation, but turns out they were not needed as there were only one or two other patrons present.
+ Waitress was very capable and attentive and gave us choices for sides to accompany the steaks.
+ Food was prepared in reasonable time (given no competing orders).
+ Steak was OUTSTANDING! Ridiculously thick and large cuts, super juicy and tender. Even well-done was margarine-soft!
+Sides were excellent as well.
+ Dessert (lava cakes and ice cream) were large enough to split 3 ways.
+Check was managed at the table with handheld device and cc.

0 (neutral) Price of about $40 was reasonable for huge rib steak (took home half of each), garlic green beans, and potatoes/fries/onion rings, and lava cake and pareve ice cream.

So it sounds like a fabulous evening, right???

BUT…
-Despite a seat “away from door”, the place is tiny and there is no barrier between open door and seating area.
-Restaurant was very cold throughout the meal and cold gusts from the door occurred on each opening.
-By the end of the meal, the room was 60 degrees and dropping. The waitress told us there had been numerous complaints to management but nothing changed.
-We seriously ate with coat and fingerless gloves on.

We were surprised by how few patrons were there when we entered, as every other Monday night had been packed and sometimes the specials sold out. Clearly, guests don’t want to eat in 60 degree restaurant.

Considering the difference in number of patrons this visit, the management would be well-advised to do something (anything) quickly to remedy the situation. My personal recommendations include baseboard heating around room and a door barrier. While there are other space and cosmetic issues that would improve the place, heating must be the first task.

Such a shame this terrific restaurant is facing (and will continue) to face poor attendance due to physical issues that influence customer comfort. I guess our next visit will be in the spring.

When you walk into a restaurant and everyone is laughing, it’s full and the staff a super friendly you know you are going to have a good experience. We went on a random Wednesday night, were treated super nicely even though we didn’t have a reservation and they were full. They go out of their way to accommodate customers. I saw multiple occurrences during our dinner. Burgers were great. Soup was delicious. Burnt ends will get better with time but were very tasty. Place has a lot of promise. Make a reservation and enjoy!

The prime rib was delicious ,perfectly medium rare and very tender. The portion was generous enough to take home for another meal.
The ambience leaves a lot to desire. Decor is unattractive (in my opinion) and the room was very noisy.

Update 8/25/25
My wife and I split the 1 pound prime rib special. We also split a garden salad. Instead of mashed potatoes,we had two orders of string beans. Everything was excellent. I was a bit disappointed that the prime rib didn’t come on the bone, but it was excellent nonetheless.

I highly recommend the Club Deli and Grill, especially on Monday evening after 4pm when they have the Prime Rib special.

The Club Deli & Grill in Pikesville is a kosher restaurant that has a large prime rib special on Mondays. My wife and I split the prime rib special with mashed potatoes and gravy and veggie medley. It was all delicious, and there was plenty for both of us with the one order plus salad. The salads were big enough that we could have split one salad. The prime rib came on the bone. It was outstanding.

The restaurant is small so if you’re coming for dinner, I recommend making a reservation. This is an excellent kosher restaurant.

1st time here ordered carry-out. Didn’t know what to expect and was very pleased overall. The “club-poppers” tasty and the “gold-burger” well worth a try. Enjoy them!

My wife and I came here for dinner, as we’d heard a new place had opened and we wanted to try it out.

I’ll start off with the positives. The service was quite good, and the food wasn’t terrible, even if the portion sizes weren’t massive. The place has a sort of rustic feel, so if you’re into that, it’s quite nice.

That said, there were a few issues, though that could just be because this place is new, and has yet to find its footing. For one, it’s pretty small and there are a lot of tables crammed into the space. It’s also poorly insulated, and every time the door opened, the temperature dropped noticeably, and we were seated as far from the doors as possible.

The food was just okay, it wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either. The prices are quite high when compared to other similar places in town, and when it comes to both food and portion sizes, I’m afraid it just does not deliver. That said, there were a couple of items my wife and I did enjoy.

Service was pretty good, but I had to ask for things several times before they were brought, and more than once something was completely forgotten. And once things got busy, service was basically non-existent.

All in all, it’s a nice place to try once, but unless there are some serious changes, I don’t see myself coming back again anytime soon.

Nice variety on the menu. It was very busy when we were there. Ingredients in my salad were fresh and delicious. I saw an onion blossom go by and wished I had seen that before I ordered the onion rings. Next time, because I’m definitely going back.

Service was pretty much nonexistent you don’t have waitresses you have cashiers that hate their jobs and people clearly! All staff that I seen, including the cook spent themost majority of their time with friends talking loudly were customers were not doing any work whatsoever, completely ignoring customers!!! And if that wasn’t bad enough, they were so loud and obnoxious they made it impossible for other customers hear each other speak. Completely ruining the atmosphere food was serve cold never got drinks never was checked in to see if we wanted anything else dessert or anything we had to come out to the counter for everything we needed pretty much. And cashier ha ha, waitress seemed more annoyed that we had to stop her from socializing, then concerned with doing her job and helping us in anyway. Spent near $100 but was planing on ordering more for takeout to take home but because was so disappointed and just want to get out of there we can spend more but I was originally planning on spending year with $200. So you lost out of more business tonight and future business because I do not want to go back there……

The food quality was disappointing; its appearance exceeded the taste. The mashed potatoes resembled instant ones from a box, and the gravy, applied to various items, failed to enhance the flavor. Despite the expected higher cost of kosher, it felt like they were capitalizing on it rather than delivering a commensurate experience.

The food and service here never disappoints!! Most recently I ordered “THE BIG MITCH” and I was blown away!!!! You know the famous clip of the guy who went to a restaurant and keeps shouting “Who made this burger??!!!!” and then proceeds to compliment the chef? That’s basically what happen when I had “The Big Mitch”!!! If you ever get the opportunity to eat at The Club be sure to order “The Big Mitch”!!! It’s a 2 fatty patty juicy smash burger with some generous succulent pastrami and some “cheese” slapped on a fresh brioche bun with some lettuce!!!! Be sure to hit ’em with sauce (garlic and BBQ was my choice) and you’ll be forever chasing a better burger!!!!! ALLO TRUST ME!!!!
