Fish was excellent. The quality was good. Food was expensive but the overall quality of the fish was quite good. The fish had a melting texture. The wasabi underneath each piece of fish could be overpowering. The service was good and very attentive. The atmosphere had good classical/jazz music, similar to a elevator. The wait time was about ten minutes because of very limited seating. Would not come during peak hours or during the weekends. Overall would recommend

I was blown away when my husband took me to this incredible restaurant! The sushi was truly top-notch, with exceptionally fresh and high-quality ingredients. Although the prices are on the higher side, it’s clear why this place is considered the best sushi spot in the DC area.

Cozy little sushi spot with really good food and quick, friendly service. There isn’t a lot of seating, but that just adds to the cozy vibes. Perfect place to grab lunch. Fresh, delicious, good place to hang out with friend and family.

We came in for dinner in the weekdays, we were lucky to get a table because soon after we sat down suddenly there was quite a line! The sushi was fresh, temaki (hand roll) was presented nicely. The size of each piece was adequate. We also ordered the combo menu even though it was listed as a to-go. Lastly, the service was attentive and the price is reasonable. Highly recommend!

Sima Sushi — The sushi here is pretty good, though the portions are quite small and sometimes some items are sold out . The ramen is decent too. Overall, I’m quite satisfied — service is okay .

Sima Sushi – A Fun, Fresh Spin on Sushi Night

Sima Sushi offered such a unique and fun dining experience! Watching the chefs prepare sushi right in front of us and then place it directly onto the conveyor belt was something totally new for us — it added an interactive and lively touch that made the night feel special.

The price point was very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. Every dish we tried was fresh and flavorful, but the standouts were definitely the beef and the spicy tuna hand roll — both were absolutely delicious and had us reaching for seconds.

The chefs were kind and welcoming, always giving a smile when handing over dishes. There was only one server working the floor during our visit, but since it wasn’t too busy, service still felt smooth and attentive.

If you’re looking for sushi with a twist and solid flavors without breaking the bank, Sima Sushi is definitely worth a visit. We’ll be back for more hand rolls and that fun conveyor belt charm!

Didn’t expect it to be 回転寿司but the sushi here are scrumptious, I devoured them so fast that I didn’t even have time to take pictures.

My personal favorites are the uni gunkan, garlic cheese scallops, seared salmon, ebi, and the fresh water eels. Honorable mention to tamagoyaki, it has a sweet taste but it goes very well with the seaweed and rice.

The tiramisu is a bit too sweet for my liking but I like that it has a strong coffee taste.

Checked out Sima Sushi Restaurant, and it was a pretty decent experience overall, especially if you’re looking for a casual revolving sushi bar.

They offer a good selection of rolls and nigiri, and the quality was fresh for the price. The pricing is definitely a plus, making it a solid spot for an affordable sushi fix.

That said, a couple of things could be better: the digital table menu didn’t include ingredient details, which can be frustrating if you have dietary restrictions. Also, the revolving bar had limited items circulating during my visit, which took away a bit from the whole kaiten experience.

The ambience is simple, and the service was fine—nothing standout, but it works.

Overall, worth a visit if you’re nearby and want decent sushi at a good price. Just don’t expect a full spread on the belt or a fancy setup.

The service was great from both the host and the chefs. The atmosphere was good – not crowded. Not many selection were available on the conveyor belt but the freshly made ones were quite quick. However, I would consider it relatively overpriced compared to its size and quality.

The sushi is very good but the conveyor belt was pretty sparse and mostly filled with rolls, which kind of defeats the purpose of Kaiten.

If I wanted to order exactly what I wanted straight from the kitchen I’d just go to a regular sushi bar.

Service was great, the lady who served me was very kind and attentive.

Overall this place is pretty good but if you can make it to Kura instead why bother?
