First off let me just say this place is a hidden gem. I’ve been here for years and never knew about this place. Today was a first for me and I must say I was not disappointed. Dukes has gained a new customer! When you come in it has the down home feeling you would expect from a BBQ place. The staff are very friendly and give you the welcoming vibes you would want from any establishment. The prices are are not out of the ordinary. When it comes to the food they do not disappoint. I got the 2 meat plate with brisket and the hot links which is a jalapeño and cheddar. This plate comes with beans, potato salad, bread, onions and pickles. The brisket is delicious and has a very rich smokey flavor. The sausage was had a good flavor with the jalapeño and cheddar. I also got the hot boudin link which you can clearly tell has been smoked and has s good balance of flavor and heat. My overall review of this place is great and a must try if your in Cleveland!

Best place in town. Really nice man, I assume the owner, kept stopping by to check on everyone in the restaurant. Ribs just fall off the bone tender. Excellent hot link and tender smokey brisket. Very good bbq sauce.

This 36 years old BBQ offers great food with nostalgic experience. With laminated old newspaper front page showing articles of MLK… Houston Oilers… Duke’s older menu prices… and a collection of interesting thought provoking posts… Their geography of Great places includes Mallorca & few other Islands showing distances from paradise is very creative.
Very friendly staff serving great food, not so fast.
Italian cream was a great ending to the magnificent Texas style proteins. Highly recommended.

Although the drive through was not easily accessible due to the pot holes, the food was worth it.
The bbq brisket has a strong wood smoke flavor but the potato was so soft it was almost creamy.
What a great recommendation, thanks mom!

Food is so so at best but with the prices and the small size not worth it. Sorry, I will make it myself or get BBQ from someone else. $ 2.50 for rice. Really. Weak as water. And to top it off, call to talk to Duke and his worker was dismissive rude and tried to justify the poor quantity and quality of the food they gave. See the pic, and you will see how sad it was. $9 sandwich and $15 potato, so that’s a $6 potato no sour cream 10 poorly cut chives and cheese with a darker color that is supposed to be bacon. Sad, do better next time.

After many years of living in the area, I just found Dukes. The atmosphere is very homey, a lot of history displayed throughout the restaurant and the scent of smoked bbq will make you want more. The food is delicious. I had the ribs, sausage, beans and potato salad. Ribs are meaty and tender and the bbq sauce is delicious. We also had the nachos with Brisket and sausage. Very delicious. The thing I like the most was Mr. Cleveland. He makes you feel welcome and appreciated. There are other Bbq places in Cleveland but this one is now my favorite.

We ordered a baked potato with brisket and it was delicious. My 3 year old got a kids plate of ribs, I had to order him a rib sandwich. Mind you this kids doesn’t eat much. Will be back.

Brisket and sausage was very good, honestly best I’ve had in a while. Small business, owner is very nice and caring. Cozy diner like dining area. Some nice jazz playing in the background. Really great hole-in-the-wall bbq joint!
