Love this spot. They make really good breakfast tacos and their chicken soup is one of the best I have had and it’s one of my go to dishes at Mexican restaurants. They also have a full bar and good drink specials. I had also ordered tamales from here for the holidays and they are always good. The service can be a little on the slow side when they are very busy. The food is typically prepared quickly. I also like that they have multiple salsas that have different spice levels. This time we got a free order of sopapillas because it was my mom’s birthday and she’s in their loyalty program.

i asked for bacon tacos only, i can’t eat egg. i usually divide up the tortilla and bacon, so i expect fresh pieces and i get old, crunch bacon.

it’s inedible and hard as heck.

My significant other asked for chorizo bean and cheese, she never gets chorizo, never ever. it’s so annoying! i’m not coming here anymore. i gave them multiple opportunities to fix it and it persisted.

Absolutely awful experience. Christian “the new manager” was incredibly rude and nasty. I’ve been coming here at least three times a week for over six months and order the exact same thing every time. On average we spend anything between $35-$150 per visit it’s my firms favorite place to eat. Today, they gave me the wrong meat. When I asked for it to be corrected, the manager responded with a smart attitude and said he’d “switch it,” but then claimed he would give me the same meat because “that’s all they have.” He even pointed out that the only difference was cilantro and onion literally what makes fajita different from al carbón basically admitting I was right while still refusing to fix it properly. Completely unprofessional.

On top of that, they never came back to our table to check on us afterward, clearly out of spite. When we finally asked for the bill, there were multiple incorrect charges. I pointed them out, and instead of simply fixing it, he tried to argue with me even though he had already admitted I was right. He claimed the menu listed a higher price, but when I showed him the actual menu proving it didn’t, he went back and changed it with an attitude. The entire experience was hostile, dismissive, and unacceptable. Losing a costumer who spends $200+ a week over an attitude and a $2.81 difference is insane.

Las Palapas has long been a San Antonio favorite for Tex-Mex comfort food, and their new location continues the tradition with some delightful additions. This spot offers a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, complete with a spacious patio perfect for enjoying a meal on a sunny day. The addition of a bar elevates the dining experience, making it a great place to unwind with a margarita or an ice-cold beer.

One standout feature at any location is their salsa—it’s fresh, flavorful, and pairs perfectly with their warm tortilla chips – whether you go with the red, brown, free. – or all! Another highlight is the homemade corn tortillas, which are absolutely amazing. Soft, warm, and full of flavor, they add a special touch to every dish. We love the guacamole and Al carbon salad. The menu offers a variety of Tex-Mex classics, but the soups are a must-try, especially on a cold day. I enjoyed their hearty chicken soup, which was flavorful, comforting, and perfectly seasoned.

Desserts here are a sweet ending to your meal. There’s something to satisfy every sweet tooth. The staff is friendly and accommodating, even during busy times, which is notable because this location does get quite crowded, especially during peak hours. Plenty of parking is available outside.

Las Palapas’ newest location is a fantastic addition to the chain, offering all the signature flavors fans love. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick lunch, a family dinner, or drinks with friends, this spot is worth checking out!

We love this small bit very nice Las Palapas. The food is very good. I had the LP Bowl for the first time and will definitely get it again…and again. Not too heavy and great tasting. When they get busy I he service can lack just a bit but overall very good. Breakfast tacos at this location are awesome.

I went to this new location on NW Military with my dad because it is very convenient and we have been long time LP lovers! What a lucky day to go because we got the the model food they made for pictures and it was absolutely delicious! Beef fajitas were flavorful and tender and the drinks were pleasing to the eye and tasty! We also ordered puffy tacos and fish tacos which were yummy as always. Wonderful costumer service and tidy new location. Grateful to have another Las Palapas!

Horrible experience here. Food was cold to the touch sent soups back, all to get the incorrect soup. All to ask the manager did you warm this in the microwave and he says yes. Rule of thumb normally with food going back is supposed to be tossed not re given. Hate to see what happens when your food is in correct is it given to another customer. Very disappointing.
