superb food and outstanding service. Very highly recommended.

Went in on a Sunday evening with 8 other people. They’d had a very busy weekend but still went out of their way to ensure we had an amazing meal. Brought out a slice of tiramisu to celebrate one of our parties birthday.

Fantastic service and fabulous food. So please we chose to eat here

As a snobby Italian child, I’m a very, very tough critic of Italian food (yes I know) but this was hands down some of the best authentic Italian food I’ve had in a very, very long time. Even my Calabrese born dad and uncles were in heaven. Great owners, great service, and even better food. I cannot speak highly enough of this place. Will come back here every time we come to Manchester. Must visit.

Came across this place by chance when in Manchester. Was looking for an Italian restaurant and this didn’t disappoint. Food was brilliant, one of the best pastas we have had outside Italy. Reasonably priced. It was quiet when we went, about 430pm so good time to go with a baby.

Staff were pleasant and attentive. Also added bonus it was very baby friendly with a large and clean baby change area and high chairs on offer.

Honestly the best authentic Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to! A family run business bringing in flavours from home! Starters and mains were exquisite, the flavours were perfect. Everything was perfectly cooked. Definitely will be visiting again! Restaurant was clean, bathroom was clean, cutlery was clean! Wheelchair friendly. The owner of the restaurant Giovanni was absolutely wonderful! Lovely host! Very welcoming! Ciao

Agree with all other reviews which made us choose this venue that food is amazing/very good. Service wasn’t great but owner/manager apologised as one course came a lot later than other.

Not over dine out since we moved to this city. Time to try a local Italian restaurant for the 8th Anniversary. The owner / manager is friendly as soon as we walked in and he already knew about our reservation. The staff looking after our table is super sweet and polite, always with smile. We enjoy the food as much as their service. Large Napoletana pizza simply amazing with rich aroma from anchovies. Pasta al di frutti di mare is another surprise too. How could they make this high level of taste. Recommended! Italian rice ball is interesting, crispy outside and soft inside, perfect with mayo.

We had our post-wedding lunch here in early December. The food was incredible and definitely value for money! It was tasting very authentic and hearty! Our table had a mixture of pizzas, pastas and steaks and everyone was very satisfied with their meal! The homemade desserts were also very tasty! However, what was lacking, was the service quality and attentiveness as this was a week day and for lunch service. Unfortunately, we as the wedding couple were a bit late due to a photo-shoot and were told by our guests at arrival that the waitress was not very attentive, which did not change after we arrived. However, overall it is 5 stars from us and I hope the service will be better when we choose to return.

This is a WOW to the place.
I ordered a diner menu, and it is way beyond my expectation. For the price you pay (£25 for 3 courses; could also be £22 for 2 courses), you get authentic southern Italian food with flavorful taste! Other places can easily charge £30 for this.
Service is friendly and helpful, atmosphere is clam and welcoming; don’t even mention that it is located at the central shopping area.
Can only recommend.

I popped in with my husband while running some errands recently and we enjoyed some really delicious, super authentic food. We decided we’d much rather support an independent than a chain like the neighbouring San Carlo and I’m so glad we did!

I opted for the lunch special – the meatballs and gnocci; both were absolutely delicious and tasted homemade. The meatballs were soooo soft! Generous portion sizes too – had to take half of it home! My husband had the pizza, which he really rated, he said it had that tasty chargrilled flavour.

The staff are very friendly and everyone said goodbye when we left, even the chef. The only one niggle was the cost of a glass of prosecco – £9.50. I didn’t check the drinks menu beforehand so that was a bit of a shock but probably on a par with other city centre restaurants – we just never dine out in the city usually.

I would definitely recommend Capri’s – please support your local independents, it makes such a difference to them!
