This might be one of the absolute best plates I’ve had in my life. The pork was perfectly cooked, slightly sweet and well seasoned. The plantains are roasty, sweet and delicate. There was not a bad item on this plate. Aside from how amazing the food was the prices were crazy! I tipped 20% and it was under $14. The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful and explained the menu, prices and what was included clearly.
If I lived here I’d be eating this food at least weekly. Amazing.

This was my first time here but I have been to the Broad Street market plenty of times. I came to market on a Friday early afternoon for some cookies at another vendor stand and figured I would pick up something for lunch while I was there.
What drew me to the booth was the smell of the food and I checked the menu and thought the chicken platter was good and it certainly was. It was a very generous portion of food and I ended up having half for lunch and half for dinner. The chicken was tender and juicy and perfectly herbed. The rice and beans and cabbage were very good as well.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The price was very good especially considering the amount of food I got. Parking was easy for me but I know the spots can fill up fast depending on the time and day. This location is in the stone building.

Ougis Cocina is hands down the best in the area. The secret ingredient must be the tender, love and care that goes into the food. The great taste is never deterred and you can always count on the delicious taste and quality every time. I’ve been going there for years! I’ve recommended this place to friend and family. It’s worth taking the trip every time!

My absolute favorite Puerto Rican spot! The portions are huge and the meat is always tender. I always get the pork meal. It comes filled with rice, cabbage and plantains, make sure to ask for the beans on top. If you’re at broad Street market, hop in line and try it out.

Walked into the Broad Street Market looking for some lunch and had to try Ougis Cocina! My boyfriend and I are always looking for authentic Puerto Rican food and the Pernil meal hit the spot! The arroz con gandules was flavored well and the beans were delicious in the fresh sofrito base. Portions are generous and could be shared. We didn’t order empanadas, so we will be back to give those a try!
We got our food to go, but there was ample seating in the market for sit and eat if wanted.

Tried this place for the first time and I wanted to save some for later. The portions are a good size and the food is authentic. I returned the Puerto Rico a couple of weeks ago and was craving some island food, this did the trick. I will be back.
