This was the best Panang Curry I’ve ever had. It was a little spicy, peanutty, thick and creamy. It had exactly the veggies I always want in it – pepper, onion, zucchini. The portion may look small in the bowl, but it was enough for two complete meals. The gyoza was pretty standard, my husband really enjoyed the fried rice.
The food came out quickly, and pricing was reasonable. For the 3 dishes, plus rice, and 2 drinks was ~$50

While we were there, there was live music and hula dancing, and some cute cats.

Great food after hiking all day on Napili coast. Flavorful, good portions, nice staff. Honey orange chicken was great.

2024: pad see ew. Like big egg noodles with meat and veggies. Nice food for a rainy day.
Singapore rice noodles: the red spice they give you makes it just right though it’s solid on its own
Thai Basil stir fry. My seven year old is downing it like there’s no tomorrow.

2022:Drunken noodles have the right amount of spice. Actually lips are burning a little but my husband could have used more spicy. The yellow curry is great. Thai soul food. Great coconut flavor. Our kids enjoyed the fried veggie rice with chicken. As well as the pot stickers. They ate them before I could try one.

We were staying in Princeville and came here after shopping at Foodland. It is located in the food court in the Princeville Center. You order at the window, grab a table in the common patio area, and your food is brought to you. The gentleman was very nice and helpful. We both ordered the drunken noodles with seafood, consisting of calamari, shrimp, and fish, and it was very good. There were two ceiling fans on the patio, and we picked the one farthest from the rather loud outdoor bar next door. Unfortunately, it was rotating clockwise, providing no cooling air, and the cloud cover prevented any inshore breeze. In addition, there was a large spider attached to it. Still, good food and service.

This spot is great for some casual Chinese in a relaxing atmosphere! My husband and I came here 8 years ago on our honeymoon and just had to visit again upon our return. The honey orange chicken doesn’t disappoint, and my husband loved their pineapple seafood fried rice as well!

This honey walnut shrimp is the best! And I love their boba, it’s always soft and flavorful and cold! Taro and melon are my favorites!

Good Thai food with plenty of vegetarian options
Thai stir fry vegetables and Singapore noodles were good
Our favorite was the yellow curry with tofu
Not too pricey but no table service offered here and food is served in paper plates and disposable cutlery
Located inside in the princeville market complex

I do not simply understand the rating. Decent food court style bistro with reasonable pricing (the only one in the entire Island). They are the only establishment near Princeville who are open on Christmas Day, delivered decent asian food while all other overpriced mediocre food
trucks and restaurants were closed. We tried a lot on the Island and this establishment would be the only place where we visited at least three times during our visit.

Lotus Garden is a hidden gem. Tucked away inside Princeville Center, it’s a no frills, casual joint in a breezy (but covered) public eating space. With Thai and Chinese co-owners, it boasts a menu that is both diverse and surprisingly bold. Beyond covering classics like Pad Thai, Kung Pao Chicken, and Honey Walnut Shrimp, they impressed me with an ambitious array of dishes that included Thai Curry Ono, Singaporean Street Noodles, Spicy Garlic Seabass, and even Peking Duck Stir Fry! Seriously, there’s something for everyone here.

Now, I had great food all around Kauai, but the most remarkable dish during my visit was unquestionably the Fresh Kauai Shrimp at Lotus Garden. Yeah, I’m surprised too. It might just be the best crispy shrimp I’ve ever had. It’s seasoned with a fantastically addicting garlic chili sauce and lightly fried just right. They shell the shrimp for you, leaving only the head and the crispy tail (my favorite part) on. Plump and juicy on the inside, crunchy umami bits on the outside. It also comes with rice and vegetables. We ate THREE orders of the shrimp, and we will be going back for more.

All in all, Lotus Garden is one of my favorite places for dinner in North Kauai. It’s nice to have a great Chinese/Thai spot here.
