Yi Sushi Review
Today I stopped in at Yi Sushi for a quick bite and ended up staying for an experience! I was greeted by a young lady with such a kind spirit, which set the tone for the visit.
They had plenty of specials and happy hour deals that immediately caught my attention. The Shrimp Consomé soup intrigued me right away, and there was also a Salmon Kama special that sounded amazing. I had originally planned to get my food to go, but since the salmon was dine‑in only, I decided to stay—and I’m so glad I did!
I sat at the sushi bar, where the chef served each dish directly to me, fresh from his hands. Let me tell you, that Shrimp Consomé soup was chef’s kiss! The flavor, the texture, and the crunch of the patty with the green onions on top—it was absolutely perfect. I could have easily gone for a second bowl.
Next came the Unagi, served as a pair. Fresh, rich, and so satisfying. Then came the star of the night: the Salmon Kama. I didn’t know what to expect, but it did not disappoint! The salmon was grilled to absolute perfection—tender on the inside with just the right amount of char. Honestly, all it was missing was a side of rice, which I’ll make sure to order next time.
I was so full by this point that I had my Crunch Roll packed to go. But before I left, I couldn’t resist trying a piece of Yellowtail tuna. It was exquisite—soft, delicate, flavorful, and not fishy at all. That’s definitely on my list for my next visit!
Special shoutout to my server, Anne, who was an absolute darling—kind, attentive, and made the whole experience even better.

Live near by and have been wanting to go there. Ordered their 4 course special. It was delicious!! They actually serve toro! They pay nice attention to presentation and the flavors are on point. The fish is kept at a temperature so that when you taste it, it practically melts in your mouth. Been to many restaurants that store their fish at very cold temperatures that you have chew it for a while. This place is a sleeper, you must try! Service was excellent and prompt with reasonable prices. Definitely recommend and I am going back for the ramen.

This was me and my spouses first time coming here. We were searching around for sushi spots and saw that this location has 4.4 stars and located in Rancho San Diego.
Let me just say, wow. The food, the atmosphere and the customer service were absolutely amazing. We will definitely be coming back here.
We ordered the (1) Godzilla roll, (2)San Diego roll, (2) sashimi, (1) Crunch roll, (1) guappo roll, cucumber salad and shrimp tempura.
Total bill for the above was almost $100.00 which is not bad for sushi.
Parking was not an issue. Plenty of parking in a good area. If you haven’t tried this location out, definitely recommend. It’s worthy of your business.

I tried this place for the first time on Sunday, and had a wonderful experience. Our server was so kind and informative of what they have to offer. She did so many thoughtful things like one example, offering to mix two different teas for me so that my iced tea wasn’t too sweet. It may sound simple but I thought that was really nice. She genuinely wanted us to have a great experience. The food was wonderful! We had their specialty appetizer, I forgot what it’s called, but it was like this crispy patty stuffed with crab meat on a bed of a light creamy flavorful sauce in stunning serving bowls. We also had their salt and pepper wings which came out hot and fresh, they had a thin crisp breaded layer and were juicy. We also ordered their sushi flight B, which had four different types of sushi rolls. They were beautiful and delicious! We were happy to see they had several types of unique and fun desserts, we got the fish ice cream strawberry/ chocolate flavor. I also liked the music they were playing. Super excited about this place and can’t wait to go back and take family there. Thanks so much!

Good Japanese restaurant! The Japanese food here was well-made and delicious. They have a pretty extensive sushi menu. However, I ordered the pork tonkatsu (fried pork cutlet), and it was one of the best katsu’s I’ve ever had. Other components of the meal — the gyoza, salad with ginger dressing, and the appetizer of chicken karage — were tasty as well. The sushi was delicious too. We had the Alaska roll, tempura vegetable roll, and cucumber roll. The service was nice and attentive. I recommend this establishment if you are in the mood for Japanese food, sushi and non sushi.

The service was excellent. The food was excellent Phoebe are Chef made our roles exactly the way we wanted them. We ordered food from the kitchen as well, and it was excellent too. The place was moderately busy, very clean, and like I said, the staff was very helpful and friendly.
