I was so excited when I saw Chef D’Noir would be at the Melissa Road Tribute Fest this weekend. I have been wanting to try them for a while and they definitely did not disappoint! I ordered the Bayou Catfish: fried catfish smothered in crawfish etouffeé sauce, served over rice with a side of garlic bread. Growing up in Louisiana, this was heaven! The catfish filet was gigantic and tasted fresh. The breading was a perfect thickness, well seasoned and was super crispy. The sauce had a perfect amount of heat. You could actually see and taste the crawfish and the vegetables in the sauce. It was a ton of food. I knew I couldn’t eat it all, but I definitely ate more than I thought I would. I had the rest for leftovers and it was still delicious.

I cannot wait to see them at Heart of Melissa Fall Fest in November.

10/10 would DEFINITELY recommend!

OMG!! My husband and I ate here tonight and it was delicious!! Fresh, crispy and so much flavor! Gumbo is out of this world! Truffle fries are crispy and tasty. Definitely will be back! Thanks for coming to Van Alstyne!! Hopefully we will see you a lot more!

The food was full of flavor! The desserts hugged my sweet spot with delight, the gumbo and shrimp PO’Boy was the perfect amount of goodness, and the customer service was outstanding!

Let me tell you I could pick one dessert so I got two-vanilla and chocolate gooey cakes (chocolate was my favorite as I never had it before). They special made my PO’Boy because I wanted to eat it the next day. The veggies, bread, sauce, and shrimp came together so well I when out looking for them the next day.

Please stop by and support this local food truck, your tastebuds will thank you. 5 stars all the way around!
