John’s Sweet Tomato Pizzeria concentrates on good service and good food. Tight quarters make this space feel intimate and cozy, like you’re with family. The offerings range from all kinds of pizza, to pasta and seafood. Decent house wines and a welcoming beer list butter you up, and the decadent, tart, astonishing Passion Fruit Cheesecake takes it and makes the whole experience and a home run. For lunch or dinner, with friends or a loved one, check out this solid gold local pizza joint. The owner is a generous, honest man, who I met once during bowling. John, the owner, is always kind and greets us almost every time we come here. Very good service, and tasty food. Their pizza is stellar, i recommend their lobster roll Thursday’s, buffalo chicken, hamburger subs, cheese steaks and French fries are good also. Friendly family owned restaurant, I highly recommend. We come at least once a week. 🙂

I haven’t been to John’s Sweet Tomatoes for a while. The new menu is a bit smaller but has all the really great items. I ad the. clam chowder and it was absolutely delicious. The lobster ravioli was absolutely deliciously fantastic. The only drawback was the salad, it was made with ice berg lettuce, the better choice is either romaine or green leaf or a combination of the two, but not ice berg. That’s the reason I didn’t give John’s Sweet Tomatoes five stars. The service was quick and the food came out at a reasonable pace, it was a good time and very enjoyable experience.

Pleasantly surprised. A great guy treated my partner and I a few days earlier and it was good, so I figured since I was in the neighborhood I’d give it another go. It was his first time trying it also and he thought it was good as well. Second time didn’t disappoint. Good cheese and sauce. Crust 4 out of 5. I’m always saying the key to a successful pizza joint is consistency. Got two cannolis. Not the best I’ve had but good. A little overpriced but stuffed nice. My friend said the entrees are good and it was the reason he took a chance on the pies. I’d go back and recommend.

Went in for take out. Steak grinder very good. Buffalo Shrimp not your usual deep fried. Had lots of garlic and buffalo sauce tasty, shrimp on small side. I wasn’t expecting all the specials on the board and noticed after I ordered. Will definitely be back. Cash tip only. I feel bad for servers if you’ve been there and have no cash like I did.

We can only comment on the one time we had pizza. We’re struggling to find pizza we’re use to in NJ. We’ve been here 11 years and the search is still on. The awkward situation we had here was… a handwritten sign on the registered saying they only accept cash tips. We paid by debt card and left a one dollar tip, that’s all the cash we had. We plan to stop back and drop off the rest of the tip sometime soon. We felt bad for the waitress, she was so nice. I heard that parking can be difficult at peak times. We pulled right up.

First time in and it was great. Ordered veggie pizza, chicken Alfredo pizza, and chicken wing platter. The wings were under cooked but they were replaced with chicken strips without any problems. The food was great, service was good, the cost was reasonable. Looking forward to going back.

Always fresh and tasty. We love Thursday, Lobster Rolls.. wings, fried shrimp, fish baskets…gyros…all very good.. They make an amazing Pizza and stromboli. ..Take cash for the tip…. Everything else can be debited or charged… if you haven’t visited John and family…make plans to do so… The girls working the front have been there for years…that says something about their employer..
