We recently celebrated my gorgeous man’s birthday at Mountain Thai, and it was nothing short of exceptional. We’re regulars here, dining weekly, so we already knew the food and service were fantastic—but this experience went above and beyond the exceptional service with which we are already accustomed.
On a whim, we asked, to book out the entire venue for 28 guests which was received enthusiastically. The owner handled everything—menu, drinks, and atmosphere—with absolute professionalism and warmth. The result? A memorable night that exceeded every expectation.
Our friends couldn’t stop raving: “That was wonderful!” “So relaxed!” “The food was extraordinary!” It truly felt like more than a restaurant experience—it was like a family occasion, reminiscent of the warmth and hospitality you’d expect in the 70s and 80s, but with a modern twist.
For truly authentic Thai cuisine, impeccable service, and a team that genuinely cares about making your event special, this wonderful restaurant is the place. We are back here tonight, reminiscing over the wonderful night we had only a week ago and highly recommend that everyone considers this location for a private function. Just fabulous food, awesome service and a great vibe. We have lived in close proximity to Mountain Thai for 4 years now and have fallen in love with the restaurant for many reasons. Every time we have family visiting from interstate, we take them there – their praise for the food and staff is always beyond great.
We are always encouraged to try a new dish or something different on the menu – again always fabulous. This place is very special.

Ordered this on uber for the first time the other day, hands down the best Thai food I have ever had in Aus and I don’t say that lightly. OMG it was soo delicious. I was craving it afterwards for days. If you want some spice in your meal tho you need to ask them

Much better than expected. The genuine Thai flavours and balance were there, even though the intensity had been dialled back a bit for the local market. So nice to see a restaurant full of people… quite a few regulars by the look of it. They do take aways, but haven’t let it ruin the personal vibe. I ate too much… no regrets!

This is now my new local. Been here a few times now! It has great food, friendly staff and quick with take away. My family also love dining here. The best Red Duck Curry I have ever had, and I’ve had a few because it’s my all time fav. A lot of duck meat, fresh vegies and has lychees as well. The two Pork Chef suggestion dishes and Chicken Pad Thai are also amazing Yum yum yum

2025 Update:
I haven’t been here a number of years so happy to report that the pad Thai is much improved, no longer burnt flavour it’s fresh and delicious. Has earned an extra star. Vege spring rolls were a bit spicy and seemed like a curry puff more than a spring roll which was unexpected.
Venturing from my regular Thai restaurant, super friendly and fast service all going well had potential to be my new local but unfortunately let down by the pad Thai chicken, alarm bells began to ring by how dark it looked, the flavour just wasn’t pad Thai and tasted more like a burntish pad see ew. Veg spring roll did not impress either, very mushy inside also brown inside? Bit devo, however their other dishes do sound really good however pad Thai is the staple dish.

I’m adding this to the list of my favourite restaurants! This Thai restaurant is great it has a nice atmosphere, excellent service and food was scrumptious, a flavour party! There’s something for everyone. You won’t be disappointed.
