Delicious lattes that made me feel right at home. Since moving to Willimantic from Manchester in 2020, I’ve really missed Silk City. So excited to now have them in town. The atmosphere immediately felt just like Silk City, with several tables, benches, counters, etc to hang out or work.

Got 2 decaf hot lattes, maple and brown sugar – both delicious, a raspberry oat bar, and GF chocolate cake. Everything was delicious and fresh. The people were welcoming, kind, and prompt. Can’t wait to return again and again!

Americano coffee has a sour taste, so I highly recommend it to those who like that flavor. Honey latte was also rich and sweet.
The cinnamon raisin bagel sandwich (PB&J) with honey latte peanut butter and jam and the bagel sandwich with salmon smoked, cream cheese, cucumbers, capers and salad greens were very delicious.
It seems to be a small cafe mainly visited by regulars, but the taste and service are excellent.
We were deeply impressed by the unexpected countryside cafe and was able to continue my next trip.

Very cute place, the baristas are always very nice and their coffee is amazing!
I love the idea of charging a little extra for take out cups and less for reusable cups. Ive had two of their bagel sandwhiches and they have both been very good.

The place is beautiful and quiet, and the coffee is very good. But I would have liked the cappuccino to be served in a cup, not a plastic one, since it wasn’t for takeout, but for enjoying the place.

Update: This place is now open till 3:00. It’s an improvement.

Grounded Coffee, the place that used be here was better, and it’s a huge pity that it’s gone now and replaced with this. No bagels anymore, and fewer hours. Closes at 2:00?!? Why the crap does every stupid little small town coffee place seem to think they only exist to compete with Dunkin for getting the miserable morning masses their get-me-through-this caffeine? College towns need caffeine fueled get-together hubs of creativity, not a Star Bucks that closes before you can blink.

There is a mistake in how Google is treating the reviews of this place. The good reviews you are seeing are from Grounded Coffee, but this is not Grounded Coffee anymore, and it’s not the same. You see pictures of the bagels and stuff but they don’t serve those anymore. The staff probably changed over and they are all find, but the change to this Silk City Coffee thing is a huge downgrade.

Great coffee and atmosphere, I ordered an egg sandwich on a cheddar jalepeno bagel with Prosciutto. Deliscious gourmet sandwich. I plan to return and try more of their menu

Super cozy coffee shop with plenty of good drinks to offer. I love seeing what seasonal drinks they offer as well. I have yet to try the food so I can’t speak on that, but given that they seem to prioritize using quality and/or organic ingredients I imagine it’s good. I look forward to trying it sometime. The outdoor dining area behind the building is also super cozy, even if I’m grabbing a bite/drink from another establishment or just have some studying/work to do I’ll walk over there to chill.

A lovely shop in a very cute town. I’m not a coffee drinker, but I enjoyed their hot chocolate and tea while my wife savored their coffee. We stopped in several times while visiting family during Christmas break to get work done and just plain enjoy the shop. I’ve never seen tea presented as it was, in a carafe. They have a good selection of sandwiches and smaller snacks in addition to their caffeinated options.

The baristas definitely knew the regulars that stopped in during our visits with lots of catch up conversations overheard, always a good sign. The wifi never had any issues and there was a stack of those pretty and pricey quarterly magazines available for visitors. We’ll definitely be back here while visiting family.
