So nice to see older industrial buildings used in a new way!!
The service was friendly and helpful
As this was our first time there. They have a wall of “pour your own” beer with about 25 different selections.
We sat in the bar area which was huge, had several seating options with a stage, video gaming area, pool tables and other arcade game options. We had a pizza ( #2 from their selections). Which could have been much more flavorful if they had added a bit more sauce and toppings. The crust was VERY good, crunchy and tasty!!! We ended up taking home a 32 Oz “Crowler” of the Key Lime cider.
I would definitely recommend trying this place!!
Loved the decor around the building and the history that was there! It was so cool to see the “old pictures” of what it used to be, from the bricks on the wall and the distillery! I love how there were notes placed around the building that explained or described a little piece of history. For example, the cheese curds were served in a paper boat on a piece of tissue paper that looks like a newspaper clipping from 1971. That was awesome!
I’m not a drinker, but the beer wall was so cool! I’ve never seen anything like that before. How many options they had was just insane and the fact that it’s self- serve and you just pay by the ounce. Very cool feature!
We will be returning!
Mediterranean pizza (8/10)
Beer battered Cheese curds (7/10)
There was enough seating on a Thursday evening. The place also had slots, pool tables and few arcade games. There’s a stage for parties and one thing that also caught my eye is the elevator the handicapped. Overall a good experience. Will visit again.
To finish, the Chai Martini and Grinchmas were a sweet holiday treat. Our server was great, too. Very friendly!
First off, the ambience of this place is unlike anything I have walked into. It’s open and airy. This place had great music playing but not so loud you couldn’t talk to those near you. Our waitress, Mya is the type of server you dream of. She was very attentive, spot on with little details in our order and worked incredibly hard. You could tell she had tons o’ personality but kept her focus on getting food out while it was piping hot for all tables, not just ours.
Secondly, order the Taco Pizza. The crust itself was a bit thin in the middle, but the flavors and this place’s approach to a taco pizza won me over. It had a refried bean base which really adds way more flavor to the game of your taco pizza. Although they didnt put as much cheese on as I had hoped, I embraced this was “their” take on a traditional pie in the Valley. No big deal.
I would rate this taco pizza as the best Ive had in this area in the past twenty years. And yes, it gives Lou’s LaGrotto a run for its money. I prefer Fire of Fifths, but I am hardly dogging Lou’s. To each their own.
My brother ordered the “Bread Line” to stave off hunger pangs until the food arrived. This little entree was great and simply. Bread. Oil. Parmesan+Pepper. Some dipping. Forget about it. You will love it.
I was a big fan of Carter who I never met, the young many who made our gem of a pizza. Mya made this trip special and was one heckuva server! I personally have to give a nod to Andrew the bar keep who intrigued me to try the Key Lime Pie cider beer. He even came with a few other samplers that make me want to return about 43 more times. This restaurant is the real deal and is a great place to impress anyone at.
Pizza was also good, but was a bit “juicy” for our liking. There was just slightly too much sauce, and a lot of cheese which made it kind of block out a few other flavors. I can definitely see how this might appeal to some, but I thought the creativity of the different pizzas deserved to be enjoyed by letting each ingredient shine.
The vibe here is really cool, the building had a lot of history. I was impressed by the bartender’s knowledge of it as well.
There is a wall full of craft beers that you can self-pour with a crd that tracks how many ounces (you pay by ounce). That was kind of unique. There were some games in one corner, and they had a couple large private areas on each side for weddings or gatherings. Definitely worth stopping in and checking out!
