Voyage Maui is a true hidden gem in South Maui Gardens and serves the freshest sushi I’ve ever had. The chef, who is also the owner, puts his heart into every single dish — you can taste the pride and craftsmanship in each bite.

We tried the Hawaiian Rainbow Roll, Caterpillar Roll, ThaiChee Roll, and the Hamachi Collar — each one was beautifully prepared and bursting with fresh, vibrant flavor. The fish was melt-in-your-mouth tender, the ingredients perfectly balanced, and the presentation stunning.

This isn’t just sushi from a truck — it’s fine dining quality with the warmth and personality of a chef who truly cares about his guests. Whether you’re a local or visiting Maui, do yourself a favor and make this a priority stop. It will not disappoint.

Giving 4 stars because every time we get less and less fish in our poke bowls. First time was very good. Second we def noticed there was waaayyyy less fish than first time. And third time barely anything like 1/4 of what we got first time, and that’s for $25 per bowl, it’s ridiculous. I guess next time FoodLand it is! $10.99 per bowl for 3x of fish.

Another amazing meal from Voyage! Their food hits the spot every time. Stopped by and grabbed takeout last night on my way home.
Had the Haleakala roll for dinner and had the poke of the day for lunch today. As always, it was fresh, flavorful and just overall delicious!

Simply the best eats in Kihei. We loved the Lu Ro fan and the sushi rolls they served ! Friendliest owner and the tastiest food. The ambience is great too- family friendly. Next time we visit Maui we definitely will come back.

Brandon the owner of voyage takes pride in his craft. Ive followed him wherever he has made sushi on maui (other sushi places and private catering). Voyage is his baby and it shows. This is the best fish and presentation you can get on island. Lucky for all of us we dont have to go to an overpriced restaurant/hotel for quality. Voyage is a must if quality sushi is what you seek.

My new favorite food truck on Maui! My friend and I ordered the torched hamachi belly nigiri w/ chili garlic crunch & unagi drizzle (tasted absolutely amazing), the mu shu pork burritos (super generous portion!), the seared ahi salad (made with local Kula greens and potentially the best ahi salad I’ve ever had), and the salt & pepper chicken wings, which were also phenomenal.

I am 100% going back and can’t wait to try the hamachi kama and more of the sushi offerings! My friend and I had dinner plans for Nuka’s that night, otherwise I would have totally ordered more. Nuka is usually my go to for sushi on island, but the wait can be annoying, and it’s all the way in Haiku.

Voyage has incredibly high-quality/sushi-grade seafood with the convenience of being in Wailuku and not having any wait (at least until more people find out about them)! If you’re staying on the west side (Lahaina, Ka’anapali, etc.), Voyage is a great stop on the way from the airport, which might be your only chance to try some of their amazing food. I can’t recommend them more highly!

This truck is in the next lot right beneath the south Maui Gardens area. Had Lou Ro Fan and shrimp with lobster sauce. Great quantities and the Lou Ro Fan was some of the best I have eaten – pork was cut thick, sauce was the right flavor, and the rice was thick with sauce and pork. Owner was siper nice too!

This is legit some of the best sushi I’ve ever ever had in my entire life, and I consider myself a serious sushi connoisseur. I got the spicy Hamachi roll with shrimp. I literally could not stop eating it. Exceptional quality, and great value. I cannot wait to go back again.
