Our Chinese ancestors moved to Thailand to Charoen Krung road where the early era of Chinese trading took place, still one of Thailand’s major roads. Bangkok Street and our menu represents Charoen Krung road and our families time in that community. Serving both authentic Thai street food and the Dim-sum dishes of our childhood. This little hole-in-the-wall restaurant is a hidden gem in Portsmouth. We stopped for lunch to find a restaurant crowded with people getting carry-out and several full tables. Now we know why. The $16.95 lunch specials include appetizer, entree and beverage. (I had Thai iced tea, tofu pad thai and spring rolls.) My husband had a shrimp entree. Everything we ate was delicious, generous portions and beautifully presented. We will definitely be back.

Bangkok definitely lived up to the other reviews. I tried the Dancing in Cha Cha Cha and the Tom Yum Noodle Soup and loved both. The soup had a great flavor profile with just the right amount of spice and I loved the crispy pork bits. The cocktail was perfect. The interior was nicely decorated and the staff were all attentive and kind. Glad I had a chance to dine here while visiting Portsmouth.

Bangkok Street Thai is our absolute favorite Thai restaurant! We started coming here when they opened and it’s a regular spot for us now! The food is always fresh and delicious! We have tried multiple dishes and appetizers and they are all amazing! And the cocktails are delicious too! The specials menu for food and new cocktails is fun and always yummy! And the staff are incredible! Always welcoming, professional and friendly! If I could give more stars I would!!
