Little Toasted is one of those spots that just works no matter what kind of day you’re having.

You can bring your laptop and knock out some work, host a casual meeting, or simply kick back and relax. The space is unique, very inviting, and surprisingly spacious — an easy place to settle in without feeling rushed.

Drinks are solid, and Johnny behind the bar is a big part of the experience. He’s quick, personable, and genuinely knowledgeable, always open to conversation and happy to guide you on what’s pouring that day or what might fit your mood.

Whether you’re working, meeting, or unwinding, this place adapts to you. I’d absolutely take advantage of the space in any of those scenarios — it truly fits whatever kind of day you’re having.

I stopped by Little Toasted on a random afternoon in Chicago, and it honestly felt like one of those low-key finds you don’t plan for but end up loving. The space is small and cozy, with a clean, minimal vibe that makes it easy to just sit back and relax for a bit. It’s not trying too hard to be trendy, but it still feels modern and thoughtfully put together.

The toast is obviously the star. I ordered one of their signature toast boxes, and it came out perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, with fillings that were generous but not overwhelming. Every bite had that satisfying crunch followed by warm, savory flavor. It’s simple food, but done really well. You can tell they care about quality and consistency.

I also grabbed a drink to go with it, and it paired perfectly — not overly sweet, refreshing, and balanced. The whole experience felt comforting without being heavy. Service was friendly and quick, and even though it’s not a huge place, it didn’t feel cramped.

Overall, Little Toasted is the kind of spot I’d come back to when I want something casual, tasty, and reliable. It’s not flashy, but that’s kind of the charm — just good toast, good drinks, and a relaxed Chicago neighborhood feel.

A fun place for groups and couples and friends and work groups. Lots of fun drinks and inside and outside seating and lots of appetizers and food. But the food isn’t great. The jalapeño nachos have too much jalapeño and little cheese and little salsa tomato. Drinks are good… food okay. Beautiful ambiance and modern look. Fun fun fun. Great for corporate events.

Really disappointing “2.0” grilled cheese with barely any cheese!!! Atmosphere was nice and cool views on a snowy day but food was heavily lacking. The burger was decent and the Barbacoa bowl was really good but overall a pretty dissatisfying experience.

The place looks like an inviting atmosphere but the staff is not. When you come in most of the staff sizes you up. The bald man with the beard (which I think is the manager.. super disappointing if he is) came to our table and in a condescending tone said we needed to order any drinks bc they were closing up. I understand last call but his delivery was as if the costumer was bothering him. Overall, don’t waste your money here there are better places in the city.

Great spot near the Amtrak station. Had a passion fruit daiquiri and a blackened chicken sandwich that was deliciously spicy. Sat in a nice chair near the window to get some sun and read a bit before my train ride. There was a Climate Action museum across the way that I didn’t have time to visit but would like to another time. Friendly service and great food

I had a cup of the chipotle chicken soup & Cobb salad (w/o red onion) & my husband had the buffalo chicken sandwich. My food was great. There wasn’t much there to mess up. The only thing I would say is that they still dress your salad for you. If you don’t like that, make sure to ask for your dressing on the side. My husband’s sandwich looked like it had a lot of breading on the chicken, but it really wasn’t that much — the cut he had was that large. He liked it and the fries were fresh & hot. We sat at the bar & had friendly service.

Great spot to land near the stations.

Extensive whiskey list at decent pricing for city #s! Also grabbed an old fashioned which wasn’t as strong as I was hoping but flavor balance was fantastic.

I would sum this place up as ok. I got the chicken Shawrma sandwich and was underwhelmed. The fries were ok. The Buffalo chicken sandwich my coworker got looked much better.

I wouldn’t go out my way to eat here but it’s not a place I would say to avoid.

Traveling in Chicago didn’t really know where to grab lunch. Little Toasted caught my eye. I’m so glad we stopped! Had the Teriyaki Salmon Bowl, it was full of flavor! Highly recommended!
