Excellent hot dogs and great homemade fries. There burgers are very good as well. Always quick service and nice people. Not alot of seating inside but thats ok.

Bottom of the barrel food. Not in any way fresh to order, 15 hotdogs sitting on the grill cooked and drying out. Hamburgers cooked and sitting in water. $13 large ff was super small. We were the only customers so they werent making food for other people either. Wouldn’t come back here again…

What an awesome little place to have dinner. They have a great menu and great local sources products. I had a Berks dog with cheese, bacon, and scrapple and a cony island dog with cheese,chili, and onions. The fries look hand cut. This is a definite stop if you are in Shillington.

Nice spot with a very affordable menu. We got a Coney Island dog, cheese dog, BEG dog, and bbq bacon dog plus a plain hot dog. All were really good choices. And French fries with cheese. Good fries with quality like fresh cut fries. Only two spots out front to Park according to the sign by the curb.

If you like Coney Island Hotdogs and burgers than this is the place for you. I’ve loved their food for as long as I can remember. I grew up in this area and The Dog House has always been here and the food has remained the same. ALWAYS THE BEST DOGS AND BURGERS with tons of toppings but you really have to get the Burgers and dogs coney island style. I don’t know of anyone that doesn’t love the dog house except for people that don’t have taste buds. Lol…..the prices are great and there is nothing better than great food for a great price, but even if you don’t like all those types of toppings, just and regular burger or hot dog works too. The Dog House definitely won’t disappoint you.

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the owner and a young man working alongside her. They were both extremely friendly and welcoming, even offering us a sample of their homemade potato chips—which were very tasty (just a bit heavy on the salt for my taste).
As first-timers, we weren’t sure what to expect from the menu, but it turned out to be impressively extensive with a wide variety of hot dogs, fries, and burgers. We decided to try the Pagoda fries after tasting the Pagoda sauce—absolutely amazing! My son ordered the Super Dog wrapped in bacon and deep-fried, and it was nothing short of incredible. I had the Divine Dog and the Reuben Dog—both truly lived up to their names.
My husband ordered a few items I can’t recall exactly (we devoured them in the car!), but everything he tried was delicious, including the soup of the day. The fries were tasty, although again, a bit too salty. He also ordered chips with Pagoda sauce but received chili sauce instead—it turned out to be a happy mistake, as it was still very good.
Our daughters placed their own orders and were pleased with everything except the burger. I have to agree with them—it was moist and cooked well but lacked seasoning. I believe the burgers might be boiled, which is fine, but seasoning the water would make a world of difference. Also, the buns used were standard hamburger buns you’d find at a backyard cookout, and they didn’t travel well. A higher-quality, toasted bun would really elevate the entire burger experience.
Despite these minor critiques, we’ll absolutely be back. The hot dogs were hands-down the best I’ve ever had, and that Pagoda sauce is pure magic. I rated the food 4 stars, only docking points for the burger and the salt level on the fries and chips. The friendliness and down-to-earth nature of the owner were the icing on the cake. Outstanding service, incredible flavors, and a place I can’t wait to return to.
My one small suggestion: consider asking customers if they’d prefer light or heavy salt—it would make a big difference for people like me.

Food ok cooked potatoes laying out though, ALSO CAN USE A GOOD CLEANING. Very nice staff. It’s hard to keep a place clean, but when everything is in the open, you gotta deep clean even when people can’t see. Also, wear gloves, please.
