The Cafe con Leche was delish! Smooth and creamy with a rich coffee flavor. The homemade guava and cream cheese pastry was equally delightful and oh, so flavorful. A quaint small unassuming cafe off the street with a welcoming staff. Perfect for an early morning walk downtown.

12/6/2025—Just before boarding the Star Princess, I decided to stop by a Cuban joint—and no, not the cigar kind. I mean one of those small, unassuming places where the real magic happens: a proper café con leche the way only Cubans know how to make it. I wanted a good tostada and two croquetas, and honestly… Jesus delivered. I’m convinced He looked down and said, “Let her eat,” because the restaurant was open, close by, and waiting for us like the opening scene of a feel-good movie.
The staff was friendly, the vibe was cozy, and my husband—who NEVER compliments coffee lightly—took one sip and said, “This is excellent.” For him, that is basically a full Grammy speech. The bread was perfect, the café con leche was heavenly, and my eggs with ham were exactly right. Not too much, not too little—Goldilocks would be proud.
Of course, in true telenovela style, my croquetas never arrived… but then they surprised me and gave them on the house. I also asked for a pastelito, and Joseph—the sweetest guy—tried to give that free too, but I refused. I gave them five bucks because I like to support small businesses. Besides, it felt like the right thing to do while the imaginary theme song “Guantanamera” played faintly in the background.
All in all, this little restaurant was the perfect in-and-out, delicious, Cuban warm-up meal before sailing away. The service was great, the food hit the spot, and I walked out feeling like the soundtrack should switch to “Smooth Sailing” as I headed toward the ship.

Stopped in here before attending the Miami/Indiana National Championship game. Cafecito was delicious and their Cuban sandwiches were top tier! Small little seating area with about 6-7 tables seating 2 people each. They also had a walk-up window, for passerby’s, to order, as well.

This place was SO good. We got a couple sandwiches, pastries, & espressos. Sandwiches were perfectly pressed and the bread had a nice crunch to it. The pastries were flaky and had just the right amount of filling. Would absolutely go back.

Flew down from up North to visit family and a taste of home. Excellent croquetas, ropa vieja, pastelitos, cafe, shakes, and more. Great service and family-friendly atmosphere right out of the airport.

Rock Solid Gold! Opened less then a month, this small, spartan, clean and comfy family owned cafe is dishing out Cuban favorites with expertise. The menu covers all bases for breakfast and lunch. The coffee is killer and the Cuban Sandwich is outstanding. Lunch specials every day, all made from scratch and locally sourced. The pleasant young lady manning the counter also waited our table and she overwhelmed us with her speed, attentiveness and overall desire to make sure she answered any questions and that our order was out on time. I suggest you get here before word gets out and the line down the street start forming. Well Done!!

I stopped in for a Cuban sandwich and coffee this morning and was very impressed. The woman working at the front informed me that the restaurant had recently sold this month, and there are new owners in place. I’ll be returning again in the near future and highly recommend anyone looking for a hearty Cuban sandwich to stop by !

Small little Latin Cafe on Federal Hwy just south of the airport. Absolute hole in the wall – which I love. What it lacks in atmosphere is surely made up in service and food quality. Coffee is the bomb! Food is tasty and served quickly. Staff are super friendly.
Just bring cash. Several times I have been here they haven’t had internet.

Extremely poor service. We were the only ones in the restaurant when we arrived and placed orders. However as others arrived that had ordered same things as us, they were being served. My daughter’s food came out first at the same time as what we can only assume was my husband’s food but they gave it to another table. In the time that the three of us were in the restaurant, we watched 5 other groups of people, order, eat, play and leave before being fully served ourselves.
Again it was three of us and we ordered 3 cubans. Others came in including a larger party that ordered sandwiches, plates, etc. We watched as cubans were made and handed off to people shortly after they ordered while we sat and waited for ours.
However, the food was amazing and for that I would recommend!
