We live about 2 hours away and came here because we were visiting the aquarium. We came here for lunch on a Saturday, and we all got sandwiches, because they had a lunch menu where you could get a sandwich and fries for $12. Surprisingly, we were the only ones in the restaurant. Our server was Mikail. I believe Mikail is a manager or something, as he shared that he was a general manager of another restaurant. He was incredibly friendly and checked in on us frequently. We ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer for the table. I got a meatball parmigiana panini, and my partner got an italian sub. All of the items we ordered were $12. The mozzarella sticks were a little disappointing. I could tell that they were homemade and not frozen, but they were missing something in flavor. It also came with six sticks, for $12, which felt a little steep for something that is relatively low effort. The meatball parmigiana panini was awesome. The bread was nice and crispy, and the meatballs were delicious. I tend to avoid getting meatball subs because sometimes, the meatballs are so big that you basically have to unhinge your jaw to eat it. The meatballs on this sub were smaller and easier to eat. The italian sub was also amazing. It looked beautiful and tasted very high quality. The french fries were pretty plain, but I do not think judging french fries from an Italian place is really fair. The environment and atmosphere was very nice, and I would love to come back here for dinner to try more of their menu!

You can truly taste the love and authenticity in every bite. On top of that, the service is just as amazing. Gio, is an absolute gem he always treats us so well and makes every visit feel special. Taste of Napoli is a phenomenal restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious. I had the mozzarella sticks and gamberoni scampi, which I devoured. Even the fresh baked bread was incredible. The service was lovely, the atmosphere was wonderful, and Giovanni’s conversation had us feeling welcomed. At the end of the meal, we tried both desserts and couldn’t decide which one was best because they were both amazing. I highly recommend anyone to stop by and eat here.

Everything about this place was excellent. Great atmosphere, great service, fantastic food. Our server was super friendly and helpful, giving us some good recommendations for dinner and dessert. The bread we got before the meal was hot and fresh. My husband got the Spaghetti Bolognese, which had a perfect balance of meat, sauce and noodles. My daughter got the spaghetti with meatballs which was perfectly portioned for her. I was very intrigued by the Linguini Pirata (squid ink linguini with tomatoes, shrimp and sauce). I was very happy with my choice as it was very flavorful with a unique but appealing texture. Finally the dessert…. So many tasty choices but I had to go with a real tiramisu and I’m so glad I went for that one. A melody of flavors in your mouth, authentic and super satisfying. Overall there wasn’t a single thing I didn’t like about this restaurant, it was one of the best experiences I’ve had at any restaurant in a long time. I highly recommend!

We were excited to try this restaurant out for our daughter’s birthday, and we had mixed opinions on the experience. I personally really enjoyed everything about the place, including being able to see the kitchen window from my seat, my entree, my wine, and my dessert. I ordered the spinach ravioli with mushroom alfredo sauce from the specials menu and had the only Pinot Noir available by the glass. For dessert, I had the light, fluffy, creamy tiramisu. I also ordered a side house salad with balsamic vinaigrette as an add-on and enjoyed it. Other family members did not love their meals as much as I did, though. One had the chicken parmesan with angel hair with a red sauce and said that the chicken was lacking flavor. He said that he should have just ordered the pasta and sauce. Another had a similar complaint about the lasagna ragu- that the cheese was bland. The kid plate came out with an adorable gummy bear garnish that won over the youngest in our party, who ate her penne with butter entree. The table bread was fresh and soft in the center with a wonderful crispy outside that reminded us of the part in “Ratatouille” where the chef describes how to tell a good bread. We were hoping for a candle to come out on our birthday girl’s dessert, but we would have needed to bring our own for that to happen because the server told us that they don’t keep candles around for birthdays. We all liked the atmosphere and felt good about supporting a family business rather than just going to the Olive Garden. We ended up spending way more than we normally would have for dinner, but will be back again and just avoid ordering extras that add up on the bill.

I was in the area and looked up local Italian restaurants because I was wanting pasta.
Upon arrival, we were seated immediately as we were the only customers there. When I asked about a kids’ menu, the server informed me that while they didn’t have a physical menu, they did offer options like chicken tenders and fries, spaghetti with meatballs, or garlic butter noodles.

I ordered the chicken tenders and the server asked if we wanted any dipping sauce. I asked for honey mustard, she said they didn’t have that. I asked for bbq sauce and she said the only thing they have is ranch. So I said okay just one will be with ranch. To my surprise, we were charged $2 for two small cups of ranch, which had been presented as the default dipping sauce. When I questioned this, the server, who was new and otherwise professional, apologized and said she would check with her boss about removing the charge. Keep in mind you can buy an entire bottle of range for less than $2.

Upon reviewing the receipt further, I noticed discrepancies between the prices listed on the restaurant’s website and what I was charged. Garlic bread listed at $6 online was billed at $7, bolognese at $16 was charged at $18, drinks at $2.50 were billed at $3, and tiramisu at $7 was charged at $8. There was no indication of the price for the kids’ menu items. Keep in mind when I went up there I was super nice and was just like “hey I have another quick question, I just noticed the menu prices show this but I was charged this….” When the manager walked up he rudely says “look I’m already doing you a favor by taking the ranches off for you. I was like well it was offered as if it was included. Technically both of them were still sitting on the table unused as well which I’ll attach the photos.

Then when I show him his website of the prices he says “well those aren’t our updated prices, the updated prices you were charged we’ve had for a while. I told him I’m not sure how long they’ve been in place because that was the first time I had ever been there. But that it’s fine just go ahead and charge the new prices, but I did want to at least ask just Incase there was a glitch in the computer or something.

The manager’s hostile and defensive demeanor was off-putting, especially as I had calmly and respectfully asked about the pricing. While the food was acceptable, it was not exceptional, and the overall experience left much to be desired. I now understand why the restaurant was empty if this is indicative of how they treat their customers.

I am disappointed with my visit and would caution others to be wary of potential pricing discrepancies and unprofessional management behavior.

The service was perfect!!!
Kaythlin is the best waitress I ever had!!!! Ask for her.
The entry plates were really good. Chicken parm and meatballs was well made.
Calamari and the tomate sauce was really good

The dessert was homemade but it tastes like a fridge. It was the Oreo one,Maybe it was sit for a while for 12 dollars it doesn’t worth it, that was the only part that I did not like.
The coffee was fresh. Really good.
definitely I will come back

Amazing establishment with amazing people. Giovanni is a chef who loves to cook and you can taste it in every dish. The food and the service are outstanding and this is the best Italian place south of New York City.

Morehead City is lucky to have this establishment.

I don’t normally leave bad reviews, but I don’t want anyone else to have the same experience as me. There were so many raving reviews I thought I would give this place a try. I think the pictures speak for themselves. TERRIBLE food (I think spinach and mushrooms were just thrown on top of the Alfredo uncooked and everything was tasteless), overpriced, sauce was leaking out of the bag and into my car. I wish I had just cooked at home. I feel awful for anyone who thinks this is Italian food. Save the trip and your money and go somewhere else.
