Nice place. Don’t expect anything fancy. Food was much better than the location would indicate. Not standard Italian beef bread but tasty overall and good giardiniera. Super eclectic menu. Unbelievably friendly staff! Give it a try and help support local business. Prices are reasonable and value was good.

Wasn’t really looking for a restaurant that specializes in home cooking/comfort food, but this one popped up online in Fairview Heights Illinois. Looked promising so I found it and decided to give it a chance. OMG!! Walking in the door, the 1st thing to hit me was a smell of deliciousness , the owners met me and we introduced ourselves, got the story of who they are and what they want to do here. (Did I mention the awesome smell?), I am impressed by their vision and plans for this place. So many things to be offered to the customers on a rotating basis. I simply ordered an Italian beef sandwich and some fried rice. Mild Giardinara on the beef, mind you, they do NOT advertise this as a Chicago Italian beef, so the Giardinara was a pleasant surprise! Anyway, a short wait and my to go order was ready. The smell is fantastic!! When I opened it at home, still hot and fresh! I barely remember what happened to the sandwich, it was gone!! And the Fried Rice is amazing! Not greasy, light and full of flavor, no soy sauce needed! I’ll be broke before I know it eating here! The prices are not high at all and it’s sooo good

From out of town passing through and heard about their bubble tea, soo I went to try. I chose coconut ginger with strawberry flavored bubbles. I’d say it’s pretty good! They also have a vegan cheesesteak I want to try on another visit and the ice cream selection was very impressive! Free tastings as well

You can tell everything in this establishment was made with love and has that homemade taste just like your mamma used to make. We loved the cheese steak sandwich and the jerk chicken tacos. The desserts were amazing and there is just something special about their soup. Perfect place to stop in when you are miss home.

Pleasant experience in a small new restaurant. I had the jerk tacos with potato salad; the tacos had spice to them, but not overbearingly so. The manager/owner was very friendly, and while I did not get to see other staff, their work was well done. Their claim of 40+ flavors for ice cream/shakes isn’t hyperbole, as they truly do have that many on offer. I tried the watermelon shake, and was surprised it actually tasted like watermelon!

All in all this is probably one of the more home-like places to go and get some good food. I was welcomed with a smiling face and a great conversation. I personally got the Cheesesteak with a side of greens and spaghetti, and ouuuuuweee let me tell you they did not disappoint and they weren’t stingy with the portions. I will mention that they add sugar in the spaghetti (which I love personally but I know is not everyone’s cup of tea).
I’d recommend this place to my friends and family without second question, so stop reading and go get you some !!
