Nice place, steamers were great, wide selection on menu, good tavern food, even have a wood stove for cozy wintery days, they offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Prices are reasonable. Definitely a place we’ll visit again

The Tavern has been in business a long time. Used to be called The Clam Steam Tavern. Was and maybe still is, a popular country music venue. My dad was a country and western singer and played there a lot in the 50’s. Maybe even in the late 40’s. A nostalgic band stand and dance floor is still there and looks like it is in use. The food is standard bar food but very good. I do not eat seafood however my wife does and really likes the clams. Enjoy eating on the outside porch. Will be back this summer.

Won’t bother with food pics that are plentiful in the reviews. Though I will share some landscapes from out front which are fantastic. Located on the banks of the Mohawk River do yourself a favor and show around sundown and enjoy the beauty. Food is much better than you think and the service is excellent.

Great food and customer service! The establishment is clean and very spacious. The bar is a really good size and there are plenty of dining tables. The nautical theme here is pretty cool as it is right off the Mohawk River. Stop in, get a cold one and some food. The staff will make sure you have a good visit and that your food arrives in a timely manner. ⚓️

Found this hidden gem in Halfmoon this will defiently be a regular spot for us from now on as we are steamers lovers! Best ones I’ve ever had! Everything was perfect and our waiter was super nice! Highly recommend!

food was great. atmosphere was great and i enjoyed everything. the service was average though. our server, emma was very short and neglectful as i saw her sitting on her phone in front of us the whole time. it seemed the tables around me got great service. I saw her and another blonde haired server, with a sleeve of tattoos down her arms, complaining multiple times about being at work and wanting to leave. I understand the service industry but it seemed very unprofessional as i saw other tables being treated much better. Overall good establishment, just needs to tighten up the ship a bit.

They were a bit delayed on arrival BUT i must say i was very impressed with the meal and portion size. We ordered 12 steamed clams, a turkey cranberry walnut salad, a turkey club and clam chowder. We will be returning as everything tasted fresh and was absolutely delicious! I do wish they had more seafood options on the menu as the name makes you assume it’s geared towards seafood but either way I give this place 5 stars! And just a side note the staff is very nice as well!
