Listen, lemme tell ya somethin’. I walk into Mid Shore Meats, right? First thing hits me is the smell—meat so fresh it’s like it just came off the boat from some Sicilian fisherman I know. I’m talkin’ cuts so perfect, you’d think Paulie Walnuts himself hand-selected ‘em.
I ask the guy behind the counter for a pound of prosciutto, and he gives me a look like I just insulted his mother. But lemme tell ya, he slices it so thin, it’s basically paper—I’m almost ashamed to eat it in frontta my crew, but I ain’t made of stone.
Prices? Listen, it ain’t cheap. But what’s cheap? You want quality meat, you pay for it. You want mystery meat that tastes like regret and frozen tears? Go somewhere else.
Anyway, I walk outta there with my bag fullta goodies, feelin’ like a boss. Maybe I got a little extra in my pocket, but hey, it’s Toms River—sometimes you gotta support the neighborhood, capisce?

It’s a 2 hour drive for me to get here. And boy let me tell you it was worth it! There’s ample free parking, the customer service with a smile is absolutely free and the food is delightful. They have a plethora of fresh meats, as well as cooked food is pleasing to the palette. Their stuffed shrimp and shrimp scampi inspire my 2 hour drive. Pair that with some bread, beverages, dessert and I got happiness. I’m a repeat offender. Treat yourself, don’t cheat yourself. The locals are Blessed to have this gem.

By far the best meats in Tom’s River. I can not eat the meat in the stores, to me it taste funny. I tried a couple items and now I don’t throw away anything. Fresh tasting meats! Salads are wonderful too. I can never go back to supermarkets meats!!

I love this place… been buying my meats here for 25 years now (and other amazing treats, sauces, soups, deli salads, and omg the bread… ). For as long as they stay open, I’ll always come here, and almost brake the bank when I do. They even have nice light baskets now, that have pull-up handles, so they become rolling carts. Super handy if you’re like me and get really REALLY tempted. I’ve never tried anything here I didn’t like, in all the time I’ve come here. Most things I LOVE, and look for again. Give this place a try, I’m pretty sure you won’t be disappointed!

Food is outstanding. Everything I’ve ordered is delicious. I do however hate how there are no prices on anything. Feel like a jerk having to ask how much per pound something is. Some of us need to know how much we’ll be spending. Walking in i already know the meats are pricier than a grocery store and with good reason but would like to have a ball park idea on how much before committing to buying for a dinner party. Feel uncomfortable needing to ask the price when I need to stay on a budget.

I feel like I’m in little Italy ! WHAT A selection of homemade pasta salad, fresh deli sandwich. Made at your desire. Home made ravioli, soups, convenient store with jars and cans of impoerted sauces, and salads, but the best of the best is BUTCHERS INSIDE! FRESH MEAT, AT YPOU SERVICE, WHAT EVER YOU WANT, HOW YOU WANT, WHEN YOU WANT! FAMILY SERVICE WAITING TONSERVE YOU. MY HUSBAND ANTHONY IS IN THERE EVERYDAY, AND COMES HOME WITH ALL THE GOODIES. Love this place!

Stopped in to get 2 boxes of Ravioli’s wanted to get something just to have to eat. I saw the pepperoni Bread, I told the man to give me a half of loaf, was at the cashier , I wasn’t paying attention, paying by credit card. Got home looked at the price, I could not believe the price. I will eat it later, but I will never buy it again. I understand it’s homemade, but that price is way to Ridiculous, I would had Guess around $10 so buyer beware , before you pay.

I’ve tried 3 different butchers since moving here and this by FAR is THE best!! I go twice a week because I don’t like to freeze meat, but I have NEVER got anything less than perfect. Today I finally tried the sausage, hot and regular… They are delicious! I’ve had sausage from others and would make a drive forty min north to get them because I couldn’t find a good place here. The pepper steak and chicken cordon Bleu(pictured) is great and their stuffed pork chops are amazing!! Beef is ground for you fresh so you don’t have to wonder how long a package is sitting there for.
The pasta is another favorite, all different varieties of ravioli and others. Their prices are fair, their service is great, and they’ve made where I don’t need to go to the grocery store for any meats…. I haven’t tried the deli section..YET… But everything looks good, I saw some stuffed shrimp the other day that I was going to get but I was already loaded with stuff….
A must try is the homemade mango glaze!!! It goes perfect on chicken and pork… Sweet with a kick of spice!!

I Bought a. Chicken pot pie today.. It was the Absolute Best Home made. Pot. Pie. I’ve had dinner a Long time I wish there was a place to post the picture.. the crust was Amazing and the in sides was absolutely Delicious. Please make more and make them. Bigger. Just keep making them please
