My husband and I have been coming here maybe 12+ years?? We came here when we were just dating, when we were married, when I was pregnant with my first child. We came with my first child, We came when I was pregnant with my second, came when he was born and just recently came back with all 4 of us together. And mind you, we probably come by once or twice a year since we kinda live across town! Throughout all the years they ALWAYS remember us ” oh shes so big now! Oh hes walking now!” And even remembered my daughter’s favorite order, Tamago. They’ve always been so sweet, great service, excellent dishes with a cozy relaxing atmosphere. We always love when they have their Christmas tree up, our kids kept admiring it. And before we left they let our daughter pick out a Xmas ornament to take home. My daughter gave her the biggest hug before we left. Sushi Kaya will always have a special place in our hearts
Oh! Our favorite dishes to order are the Yakisoba noodles, spicy tuna roll, Tamago( for the kids) steamed gyoza, Chicken Yakitori, edemame, hot sake and Sapporo and sometimes cold matcha green tea

Fantastic sushi restaurant in the Glenview area. Terrific food, and a wide variety of options at various prices. The service is fantastic along with a very personal and comforting atmosphere. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant high-quality Japanese cuisine.

Trying this for a second time but still received poor service. I understand the kitchen gets backed up but communicate with your customers. We were seated in a corner and I felt forgotten. Very disappointed by the cold Chicken Katsu. The sushi was good but the experience was not.

Excellent hole in the wall Japanese place, which is getting difficult to find. Nice cuts of sashimi. Very good nabe udon – flavorful broth, soft and chewy noddles, perfectly cooked egg, and crunch fried shrimp on a side. A perfect dish with a glass of Sapporo beer. Miso ramen also has excellent noodles and broth.

Cozy little Japanese Sushi place, i tried the Dragon, and Volcano roll, both were great. Later i also ordered the Arizona deep fried roll which i did not like. The appetizers were okay, i would definitely go back just for the sushi

This is such a cozy vibe, the food is yummy, menu is expansive so you have lots to chose from. I got the unagi bento box (supreme I think?) I liked having all the bento box options. We settled on some rolls as we and we had to have the hot sake on the cold rainy day that we went. I haven’t checked out any of the other sushi spots in the area but we got a good one on the first try.

My all time favorite sushi place! Owners are such incredible people who are working so hard and they have so many regular customers for a reason. If you haven’t tried this spot you really should.
My must haves are mussels and volcano roll but of course I always order another roll accompanied by miso soup. Sometimes if there is space and you want something sweet you should try mango maki.
