30 minutes wait just to ORDER the meal.
Quite a commitment, wouldn’t you say? So after such a wait, we could not leave with bellies empty. As you might have guessed already, another 30 minutes wait to get the food, which were COLD SANDWICHES. The lobster was literally cold. It’s not like they fished out a fresh one and prepared it right after 🙂
No, they were assembling the mayo, bread, and lobster sandwich for 30 minutes.

Point number one: let people know they will have to wait an hour to get a meal.
Point number two: a $30 sandwich should look more appealing than mayo, bread, lobster, and a piece of lettuce.

We drove here around the time of closing for most of the food places.
There was nothing else around to go to instead, because everything else would have been closed by then. So by choosing this eatery, we essentially cut out all the other options, and felt quite safe relying on the nice rating. For this reason only, I am leaving a bad review, so that others will not be trapped in a similar situation. The rating should reflect this place better

We found a little gem. We showed up just as the kitchen was closing unbeknownst to us . They were so wonderful and let us stay to eat. The service was great and the food was delicious! I especially loved the seafood salad, with berries and raspberry vinaigrette and a generous portion of fresh lobster . It was delicious! Oh and we even could bring our dog on the patio after a long drive she really appreciated it..

Decided to eat lunch here, and had high expectations before walking in. It was very cozy inside as it was right on the water.
Ordered their famous clam chowder soup and the chicken club BLT.
unhappy with the quality. The service was very slow as all tables were taken with one server and only one kitchen chef.
The BLT sandwich had literally one piece of chicken and my soup was very bland compared to other restaurants on the island.
I found a black hair in my soup mid way and the side biscuit was hard as a rock.
For a family shop well known I would not recommend nor return.

Enjoyed breakfast with a friend here recently. It was busy for a weekday morning, but the service was friendly and people seemed happy.

I had the eggs benny and my friend had the big breakfast. Both decent meals and the price was right at $16-$17.00 each. The coffee was good and everyone was friendlly.

The space is nice, a cozy room initially but it opens into more seating in the back. There’s a good variety of seating options, including some cozy chairs and a patio.

The space and number of tables is high for the volume of staff. I would say as they fill up, you can anticipate a little longer of a wait and maybe having to ask for things like refills.

It’s a super rural area near the tip of the Island and I think it’s important to keep in mind the availability of people looking for a seasonal serving job in this area. Manage your expectations when visiting a small rural spot, they have a rushes out of the blue just like anyone else.

The best lobster rolls I’ve ever had! Very much worth a detour. The moment we walked into the restaurant, we felt part of the family, this is how friendly everybody is.
The walls are covered with fantastic stories of tuna fishing, which is a central part of the local history.

The food and service were good. Wonderful location with a harbour. One of the tuna capitals of the world. Naufrage Harbour c. 1719. We were hoping to catch a boat coming in with a giant blue fin tuna but we weren’t that lucky! Maybe next time.

Good food and good people! Seems like a family owned business, waiters are nice teens. Loved the seafood chowder ($15) and lobster roll ($21). Prices are great!

The place is plain and simple in design, as is the menu. Service is quick and personable. The food is really high quality, especially the incredibly delicious lobster roll. The fish burger was a close second. Casual spot with good food and great value for money.

Truly love this spot- the lobster rolls were some of the best I’ve ever had (I’m from New England and have had quite a few), the staff here are lovely and the atmosphere is great. Highly highly recommend. The lobster roll had tons of lobster, great toasted bun and the potato salad it came with was so good

What a gem! This place is extremely friendly, the food is top notch (we had the fish tacos and lobster roll), plus, they are dog-friendly. Special thanks to the chef for striking up a chat with us as he was taking a little break. 5/5!
