We came in here because we were looking for a last-minute coffee on Thanksgiving morning. Thankfully, they were open and had an abundant amount of beautifully displayed pastries on the shelves. I ended up getting an almond flour, cream cheese, and blueberry compote treat, and I brought it home to the family. It was an instant hit. The pastries are just beautiful.
They also have great breakfast sandwich sandwiches, some of the best I’ve ever tried. I got an egg sandwich under brioche bread and I added some ham and it was just excellent. The breakfast here is excellent.
This is definitely worth a visit. I don’t think it’s been here more than a couple of months, but this place will definitely become very popular. It hits all the right marks, and everybody’s friendly. Definitely give us a place a visit if you’re in the area, and definitely if you’re hungry and want some good coffee.
The flavored coffee options are wonderful and full of flavor but not overpowering or overly sweet. You also get a wonderful finish to each cup with a rich espresso flavor that is almost chocolaty.
The breakfast sandwich options are all wonderful. Especially if you request the bacon to be softly cooked and a tomato. Very fresh and they have spongy wonderfully peppered egg.
The pastry fare varries’s from item to item but all of the croissants are fantastic coffee partners. The opera cakes and tiramisu are also wonderful if your looking for something with a rich creamy flavor.
Wonderful coffee shop.
My only critique is that they use what looks like a home toaster oven instead of an industrial convection oven and it takes forever and doesn’t heat up the pastries enough. I had one of their croissants at another cafe that sells them and they heated up a stuffed croissant a lot and the center was gooey and delicious. Here it isn’t quite as good because it’s barely heated. The next time I came I asked for it to be extra heated until the center was super runny, and again it took a while and was barely warm. You could take them home and heat them up, but I want to eat them there.
Only tip I can give is if you aren’t a fan of mustard flavors get the dressings on the side for their avocado toast dish. That has been the only thing I didn’t love here so far… but it was just because I don’t like mustard which is in the lemon dressing on the arugula! With the dressing on the side (which they happily did for me) the avocado toast was amazing :)!
Cappuccino was just perfect.
They didn’t have a flat white, but Cappuccino is close enough, and it was very good.
Just perfect balance of coffee and milk.
Normally, Cappuccino is a week for me, and I must ask for 2 shots of espresso, but at Lavende Patisserie, it was prepared just perfectly.
Lavender latte was very aromatic and satisfying.
Almond croissants were worth the fight.
We all wanted a piece, so my poor daughter ended up with a small bite since we ate her food 🙁 .
It was a very good pastry, warm and crispy with very mushy inside just falling apart from
We also tried mango-passion fruit dessert.
It was light and just enough sweet. Just like in Europe. Cream was fluffy and tasted like they made it. Did they?
Did not taste like a pre-made package food.
I enjoy the dessert very much.
We also had macaroons to go and maruenge.
Macaroons were ok, but maruenge just perfect!
Again, another family fight for the last piece!
I can’t wait to go back and try they avocado toast.
Stay tuned.
