I stopped by Lavande for a quick bite on a lovely spring afternoon. It was recommended to me, and it totally exceeded my expectations. The place is open, clean, and super peaceful. I ordered a pistachio raspberry croissant and an iced lavender latte. After I finished my meal, I ended up buying some extra treats for my wife. We’ll definitely be back to enjoy Lavande again. Highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful, local neighborhood pastisserie and café with friendly service, great pastries, and ample seating to enjoy your food and coffee on a cold or warm morning.

We came in here because we were looking for a last-minute coffee on Thanksgiving morning. Thankfully, they were open and had an abundant amount of beautifully displayed pastries on the shelves. I ended up getting an almond flour, cream cheese, and blueberry compote treat, and I brought it home to the family. It was an instant hit. The pastries are just beautiful.

They also have great breakfast sandwich sandwiches, some of the best I’ve ever tried. I got an egg sandwich under brioche bread and I added some ham and it was just excellent. The breakfast here is excellent.

This is definitely worth a visit. I don’t think it’s been here more than a couple of months, but this place will definitely become very popular. It hits all the right marks, and everybody’s friendly. Definitely give us a place a visit if you’re in the area, and definitely if you’re hungry and want some good coffee.

There is a calming friendly atmosphere here.

The flavored coffee options are wonderful and full of flavor but not overpowering or overly sweet. You also get a wonderful finish to each cup with a rich espresso flavor that is almost chocolaty.

The breakfast sandwich options are all wonderful. Especially if you request the bacon to be softly cooked and a tomato. Very fresh and they have spongy wonderfully peppered egg.

The pastry fare varries’s from item to item but all of the croissants are fantastic coffee partners. The opera cakes and tiramisu are also wonderful if your looking for something with a rich creamy flavor.

Wonderful coffee shop.

Lovely little patisserie with casual cafe and very fancy, authentic French pastries. Also serves breakfast, lunch, and coffee drinks. We tried five pastries, our favorites were the violet blueberry lavender cake and the raspberry pistachio croissant, heated. Parking in nearby garage, indoor and patio seating, walking distance from downtown Rockville. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming again!

My only critique is that they use what looks like a home toaster oven instead of an industrial convection oven and it takes forever and doesn’t heat up the pastries enough. I had one of their croissants at another cafe that sells them and they heated up a stuffed croissant a lot and the center was gooey and delicious. Here it isn’t quite as good because it’s barely heated. The next time I came I asked for it to be extra heated until the center was super runny, and again it took a while and was barely warm. You could take them home and heat them up, but I want to eat them there.

This place is simply wonderful. I have probably been here 2-3/week over the last month writing my PhD thesis. The food is amazing, the lavender lattes are amazing, the tea is amazing, the sandwiches/toasts are amazing, the cakes are amazing, the French fries are amazing (writing a PhD requires a lot of snacks what can I say!). Also, everything you eat or drink here is just so darned beautifully presented. Check this place out! You won’t be sorry. Just don’t steal my writing table 😉

Only tip I can give is if you aren’t a fan of mustard flavors get the dressings on the side for their avocado toast dish. That has been the only thing I didn’t love here so far… but it was just because I don’t like mustard which is in the lemon dressing on the arugula! With the dressing on the side (which they happily did for me) the avocado toast was amazing :)!

Lovely French bakery! Been here a couple times and the food is excellent. Recommend the rose latte. The restaurant was not as clean as hoped, with food on the floors and tables, so we had to wipe down. There was also a bad smell the last time we came so we had to move to the barstools by the front to avoid.

We ordered to go. It was pretty good! We had the French toast, bacon, and egg sandwich. The bacon was $5 for 3 small pieces. Since we ordered to go the French toast didn’t come with the sauce. Overall it was pretty good. I’d recommend it.

Exceptional French desserts and coffee near Rockville Town Square. Literally can’t go wrong with any dessert. Surprisingly, though, my favorite is the cinnamon roll. Even when it isn’t fresh out of the oven, it is moist and full of flavor. Most cinnamon rolls I’ve tried are all bread. This one, however, doesn’t skimp on the brown sugar and icing. Check out the pic! I can’t wait until the pandemic is over; this will be my #1 remote work place. I like that the store front has a large glass window to the kitchen where you can observe the pastry chefs prepare your food and dessert. Friendly staff. Great rewards program. Pro tip: there is a small parking lot immediately beneath Lavande Patisserie.

I stumbled upon this coffee shop, and I couldn’t believe I had never gone there before.
Cappuccino was just perfect.
They didn’t have a flat white, but Cappuccino is close enough, and it was very good.
Just perfect balance of coffee and milk.
Normally, Cappuccino is a week for me, and I must ask for 2 shots of espresso, but at Lavende Patisserie, it was prepared just perfectly.
Lavender latte was very aromatic and satisfying.
Almond croissants were worth the fight.
We all wanted a piece, so my poor daughter ended up with a small bite since we ate her food 🙁 .
It was a very good pastry, warm and crispy with very mushy inside just falling apart from
We also tried mango-passion fruit dessert.
It was light and just enough sweet. Just like in Europe. Cream was fluffy and tasted like they made it. Did they?
Did not taste like a pre-made package food.
I enjoy the dessert very much.
We also had macaroons to go and maruenge.
Macaroons were ok, but maruenge just perfect!
Again, another family fight for the last piece!
I can’t wait to go back and try they avocado toast.
Stay tuned.

Best canele I could find around here! Crispy on the outside, sweet and soft on the inside. It was even better when I had it next morning after refrigerated. The service was really nice, too.
There is a free parking garage in the building behind for retail customers.
