I’d heard about Ray’s in Canandaigua, but found when we got there, it was closed for the long holiday weekend. The sign on the door suggested we go to their other location, Roy’s which wasn’t far, so we went there. So very glad we did. The food was great, the service was top notch and the atmosphere was perfect! A nice casual, friendly place. The food was made well, came out promptly and was delicious. I had the Hand Pulled Corned Beef Hash and Eggs, my daughter had Faith’s California Benne (Eggs Benedict Special), and her fiancee had Dom’s Breakfast Quesadilla. The quality and quantity of food was so worth it! Heaven (our server) was attentive, friendly and efficient. If you’re looking for a family friendly place with great food and reasonable prices, I’d give Roy’s a try if I were you. I know I’ll be back.

Been here twice now for lunch. I really like their breakfast. I’ve also had the burgers and fries. Fries are delicious! I always order my burger medium, but seem to get well. Service is great. I was surprised that lemonade isn’t eligible for refills like soda and iced tea. Same with hot cocoa.
The only issue I had one time was calling around 10a on July 4th to see if they were open. They said yes, but they’re busy. I said my party would be in at noon.
We all showed up starting at 10 of 12. When I went to get a table they informed me of a sudden decision to close at noon, even though they were busy.

So, Roy is the brother of Ray (as in Ray’s Restaurant in Canandaigua), so we thought we would check it out. First impressions it’s not as nice as Ray’s inside. Their menus are similar, but not identical. Our lunch turned out to be a hit and a miss. My better half’s Hot Turkey Sandwich tasted like the gravy came out of a can, and was very salty. The turkey looked like lunch meat, but tasted ok. However, I thought my Macy’s Omelet was quite good. There’s a full bar in the back of the restaurant.

What a fabulous establishment! We stopped in for breakfast on our way to Canandaigua, and are so glad we did! Roy’s is a clean and inviting restaurant with a breakfast menu that is so extensive I needed extra time to decide. Our food; a strawberry shortcake waffle and an eggs, sausage and home fries meal were delicious! Equally wonderful was our warm and friendly server, Renee. Next time in the area we will be back for the food and hopefully a visit with Renee! I normally do not take pictures of my food but glad I did to share the deliciousness!

Roy’s is a medium to small place but it feels comfortable. The staff is courteous and friendly. The breakfast menu is not large but it’s a nice mix of traditional and unique breakfast fare that everyone should find enjoyable. The omelette I ordered was served hot and was delicious. I will definitely return and will recommend it to anyone looking for a good breakfast at a reasonable price. They feature coffee from a local roaster and serve it in a larger than normal cup. Enjoy!

On the spur of the moment we went to Roy’s it was Friday so we decided to have the fish fry. Well it was delicious the fish was fresh and cooked perfectly. It came with coleslaw and fries but I replaced with macaroni salad which was homemade and very good. The service is fast and efficient very clean restaurant. Definitely will be going back!!!! Only open later on Friday and Saturday’s only.

Ray’s Brother. You don’t have to pay extra for Ray’s fanciness. Good food. Similar fare. Go often. Bring the Family. Can’t guarantee snow while you’re there, but We had a bunch while We were there.

If I could give a 0 star.. I would. Food was ok… the only music playing was a terrible boom radio coming from the kitchen… no music playing in the dining area.. can hear everyon3s conversations…the server was frantic … didn’t seem to know his own menu, asked my husband three different times how he wanted his eggs because he just couldn’t seem to remember… like he was on something…brought us 2 sets of silverware and once he noticed, he took the second set and put it on another table and was reusing paper menus with stains and rips all over it… during this covid situation… that is a huge no no! Then after that…. I see the server stuff our check book along with others…IN HIS PANTS! I’m talking between the back of his pants and his butt!!! Disgusting!!!! Will never go again and highly recommend you take your self somewhere clean and health conscious!
